  1. What they are saying Raku is that this forum is a very big supporter of more advanced ways of analyzing baseball and baseball players. I would suggest that you read this thread http://www.bluejaysmessageboard.com/threads/5025-Sabermetrics-Introduction-and-Discussion. If you are here to be educated, there are a lot of guys here that can do that for you. If you are not going to put an effort out to learn, then maybe there are other boards better suited for you. I hope this helps make your stay here a little more report button free. Your Life Mod, Hurl!
  2. There are no cut and dry rules about thread-making and admittedly I play favourites when moving threads. I did post in the Mods Forum/hottub that we should be a little more lenient in the off-season about moving threads as it likely won't be pushing often referenced threads down. In this case though I was just letting you know that there was a thread made where you can get opinions on this subject.
  3. which means they don't talk to you
  4. I like to talk to strangers...but it always ends up awkward when I start yelling "MODS...MODS" when they say something stupid.
  5. job security. Oh wait they offered him that.

  7. Please they didn't have game shows in Kenya As for that pic, it's crazy how little Earl has changed.

  9. Just looking at some of the follow up seasons after the .400 BABIP season. Nothing really telling actually Kemp 08 (I moved it down to the 300 PA's) 109 wRC Jefferson 97 - 112 wRC+ Santana 15 - 40 wRC Hernandez 03 - 58 wRC Turner 15 - 141 wRC Votto 13 - 155 wRC Stubbs 15 - 66 wRC ManRam 01 - 158 wRC Ruggiano 13 - 93 wRC Duncan 98 - 48 wRC Wily Mo 07 - 97 wRC
  10. they weren't physically Molina enough. This is the Asian Molina Brother (at least in his face...the body will catch up)
  11. a drop off last year...but this is the Rays new Molina
  12. All things being exactly equal Cola with a .350 BABIP last year is a .279/.327/.477 line and .258/.307/.456 with NJH's .320 line. (note: for the purpose of this the slugging percentage is a very unrealistic calculation by assuming all the removed hits were singles)
  13. They are pretty damn reliable. They were the ones I approached about doing it for them...then I got accepted back to school. I sent them the Jays, Rays and Red Sox and they got Ed Ibarguen to finish it. Initially there were errors but I think the list is pretty good now. Wish they never tried to venture into other sports. I like the velocity column for pitchers and the way they organize minor league depth now
  14. I like the Cowgill move they made and someone had to go from the 40. Even though they don't have a lot of LHP, it's such a deep pitching crew on their 40...Morimando has been insanely good in the minors against lefties that they could probably put him into that role right now.
  15. Nick Hagadone for me. Shapiro would know best about his elbow.
  16. Johnny Oduya? for the record the Swedish African-born population has grown from 4,149 in 1970 to 10,025 in 1980, 27,343 in 1990, 55,138 in 2000 and 103,077 in 2009
  17. I'm not the black guy?
  18. we sent you this video...it's not our fault if you didn't watch it.
  19. I will try. But not only is my time not great right now, but also I think I only watched like 3 Jays affiliate games this year and about 20 in total. Good idea though
  20. what has changed since September when Florida said he'd be tendered?
  21. If you think he's trolling than message us. If you think he's stupid, then educate him. Me using you to get this point across is the only productive thing about your post.
  22. The world is unfair when it comes to salaries. I worked in the investment industry previously, I get it. You could say the same thing about your friend (who I agree is underpaid and will likely never earn her wealth without selling her soul to satan) in comparison to actors, directors, producers, musicians, tech startup types, gamers...but with that said in 2014 7 of the 10 best paying professions were in the medical field.
  23. If we are going to live and die by the projections here (and I know I am) Depth Charts has the Red Sox infield projected at 12.3 and the Jays at 10.8. Of course they have Panda at 1.8 and Hanley at 1.7.
  24. Steamer and Depth Charts now have the Red Sox solidly out in front of the AL in team WAR (with 115 WAR still in free agency of course). Interesting to hear that the Cards were the runner up in the Price sweepstakes. Wainwright, Price, Martinez, Garcia, Wacha, Gonzalez, Lyons, Reyes would be a kind of insane rotation/position of trading depth, and still wouldn't be a top 5 payroll. I wonder if the thought process was sign a pitcher and trade Wacha for an OF.
  25. confirmed and going back under my rock
