no I'm saying mods can't stop the trolling so it's up to the f***ing posters to do it. Why can't anyone figure that out. Unless we want to become O's Hangout and have to go through fraternity type pledging to get membership, they are just going to start up with a new name. It's a bigger pain in the ass to stop them. If supposedly good posters just didn't respond...they would go away. I understand that trolls are supposed to draw people into bad discussions, it is what they do. However, it's easy enough to stop. The same 5 or 6 people are f***ing OBSESSED with identifying every new poster or potential troll. They can't help themselves. it's the same 5 to 10 posters every single time. So it's tough to get rid of the trolls...time outs for those that respond (I'm not talking about those that legitimately fall into the trap...I'm talking about those that respond knowing that it's a troll....LET IT f***ING GO. Dogg is supposed to be the biggest evil in the Blue Jay message board community and he's posted without any damage for over a year and half. We had exactly one reported post on him before people knew he was the Dogg...now RealAccountant gets a few a month. The problem at that point becomes the supposedly legit posters. I'm not answering this again. My next bannings are going to be for people who can't get my uncommon sense.

Great to hear your insight on this. I thought the wipeout slider Kim threw to LHP was fantastic though. He did struggle once they got to him in the 2nd. Finally got out of it with a pick off. I can see him being a solid loogy though. As for Otani, this announcer keeps calling that splitter a knuckle curve...it's an amazing pitch though.

Hearing baseball get the Soccer treatment is weird with the British play by play and no colour person is weird but I'm not sure it's a bad thing. Through the first 4 innings I'm willing to anoint Otani (although his jersey says Ohtani) the next one, although it was mostly fastballs. The Korean pitcher KH Kim reminds me a lot of Chen. Lefty sitting low 90's with a good mix, got a lot of swing and misses.

The guy had 1100 posts. I can't tell the difference between half of the f***ers around here. I see people getting response, immediate response should be that they aren't trolls. Nothing pisses me off more than seeing someone respond to someone and say "troll...dogg...CHP...King...Metalijay...whoever else we have had". There are two ways to deal with a troll...don't respond or respond with intelligent material changing their non subject. It seems like the only way people learn this is to ban/warn those that respond. If not we'll instruct the mods that anyone getting responses from "legitimate" posters, will also be considered legitimate posters.

it has it's huge downside in the future, and might handcuff the team a bit, but it's hardly the worst thing they could do. I can't believe how many Jays shirts are still being worn as I walk around outside. Signing a player long term to chase a 2016 playoff run is short-sighted and could be dumb if they have zero salary increase commitment from ownership. But a Price signing early in the process probably sells twice as many season tickets as the Marlin and Mets trades did. Not to mention Price improves the team by a lot in 2016. I don't advocate a Price or any long term pitcher signing (at market value), and it doesn't seem to be a Shapiro thing to do but I would understand it if happens. Also, with Opt-Outs and trades the only players that seem to go to full term in FA contracts are the busts and the ones that sign with teams and have prolonged success.

On a semi related note, how much would Shohei Otani command right now? 162 IP, 196K, 46BB, just 100 hits (and only 7 HR). Hit 101 MPH...and he's just turned 21. plays the OF on his off days still (.842 OPS in 200 PA's last year...dropped huge this year).

Chris Davis has never hit a post-season HR...avoid at all costs.

predictions: 2+ WAR - Yes 110 wRC+ - No Doubt 0+ UZR - No Clue Top 5 fantasy SS 2016 - I'll say will be a debate for this. Top 8 dynasty SS after 2016 - I think there is a Clear top 6 (assuming Machado keeps eligibility) with Tulo the guy with the foot out the door. Miller would be competing with guys that I trust less than him so I'll say why not. multiple 20 HR seasons before age 30 - He was awfully close to where Smoak was last year in FB distance, a jump like Smoak had in HR/FB isn't going to happen, but a small spike he would flirt with 20 next year...so yes.

couldn't care less who's pitching. Jays season will once again depend on the health of their offense. I think it comes down to the health of the 30 somethings and Donaldson. If they stay relatively healthy they should be in around the 90+ win range.
