  1. I had to fix something, and doing so I might have screwed up even more stuff. Last resort is I have to restore a backup from yesterday morning, so we might miss out on a couple days posts. So if you put an effort into any recent posts, save them to your computer, and repost once we are fixed. I'm going to try a fix later tonight, it will either work, or fail bad. If it fails, I'll have to restore the backup. Just a heads up. As of right now, our plugins aren't working, one which stops spam, hence the amount of spam today.
  2. Would be funny if we did like the Marlins and blew it right up. Without some major pitching help it's not the worst idea either.
  3. Yep. Could have had it. Imagine that catch if he would have changed his angle slightly, and caught the ball and went over the wall like that. Probably one of the best catches in playoffs ever.
  4. f*** this team. What a joke. I have zero expectations for this team next year.
  5. Like to know what was said, someone must have seen it. As if he'd get bothered with what someone said though lol.
  6. f*** his agent too then. That aside, I wouldn't care if he pitched, but obviously they can't do it with this game being so important, as you mentioned.
  7. Hey Darren, remember when you were holding out for more money and were going to retire? Go f*** yourself.
  8. I'd rather see TB get in than Texas. I wish we were playing Texas tomorrow and beat them.
  9. f***ing Jays, probably going to sweep TB and go from 7-8 to 11. Not a huge deal, but still. Have to admit, I thought for sure they were going on a run and going to end up mid teens.
  10. I disagree. I find it boring. It would be interesting to see if it increases attendance or hurts it. Sure for us playing Boston and NY it helps our attendance, but it would be interesting to know how attendance would be if we played more games against teams we barely saw. I mean after you're playing your 9th game against one team, you'd think some people would rather see a different team.
  11. I know a guy that is a high level editor on Wiki, it all works on levels there. I can possibly see what he can do. I mean there is a lot of trust in his job, so I'm not certain he can do it, but he's added numerous of my websites to wiki pages (as references for words). He does somethign like 1000+ edits per day, which is insane. So he can slip shady stuff in, here and there, as they dont go over his work with a fine toothed comb, anymore.
  12. What would Miggy's WAR be if he was an adequate defender? 11?
  13. I remember last year Buck or Tabler were saying, DM was saying Sierra had the most raw potential out of all Jays hitters. I don't think he meant in the minor leagues either. Here is CM on him, one year ago: “His arm and Gose’s arm are the best in the organization. And his raw power is up there. Obviously there is Encarnacion and Bautista, but he’s close behind them as far as raw power. It’s just a matter of bringing it out more often and consistently.”
  14. Signing Darvish. Trade similar package paid for Dickey, for Latos.... a young, controllable ace. Latos would have been locked up from 2012-2015 Darvish locked up until 2017.
  15. Dodgers don't even waste time with sending scouts, they'll just send a boatload of money and get him. Ryu worked out for them, why stop now? That splitter looks filthy.
  16. Yeah I agree. Wrestling originally being removed is ridiculous. Can have 15 diving events, 15 swimming events and all the other crap out there, and they remove wrestling. I remember reading an article when it first happened and the writer listed other events that were still in the Olympics, some of them were unbelievable. Oh right, now I remember one, Horse Dressage
  17. We should have moved Janssen at the deadline.
  18. lol @ baseball getting two more votes than squash. Wow. With baseball being fairly big in Japan you'd think it would be a no brainer.
  19. AA is pissed we missed out on Darvish. With a larger budget, AA goes after Tanaka. Tanaka flops. Blue Jays destiny.
  20. Well, it's really not far off from what he did in Toronto recently. I'd love to know why all the sudden he's stealing bases like crazy though. In 21 games with KC he's hitting .274/.357. In his last 23 games with TOR he was hitting .273/.344. Pretty close. Only difference is he had 1SB and 3CS with Toronto in those last 23 games.
  21. Anymore s***ing on this thread you get a five day ban.
  22. Thanks for the interest. We now have our full list of writers. We may be adding one more, I'm discussing it with the current writers and we're going to decide together. Thanks again everyone!
  23. Yeah, he has too much anger, I don't think anything would ever work. A member also told me he promised to pay him for writing, and never did. That's not the type of person I'd want to work with. WRITER UPDATE We have three set. The three of them I've had discussions with, know their style, seen their style, etc. I have four more that have messaged. And I will take 1-2 of them. I will contact you guys shortly. THanks for all the interest, great to know so many guys are interested.
  24. Same, I deleted it from my bookmarks too. We now have three great writers commited, one of which will be part time. I wouldn't mind 1-2 more. Someone that could report news/rumors as they happen, less research, just more conssitent. Need to be a good writer. I'd do it, but I'm a terrible writer.
  25. We are looking to put together a complete blue jays site that will be complete with regular blog posts/articles. I'm looking for 2-3 guys who would like to write regularly. I have one on board, possibly two. I'd like to have atleast two or three regular writers. I want articles to be posted regularly, and really want it to be professionally done. It's a big commitment. I have set up blogs for other people in different niches, they start off writing all the time, and it slowly tails off. So if you'd like to write, please consider the future and know it's going to be a long term thing. Baseball is a little easier, as there is something new you can write about daily, but it is still a big commitment. I'm not looking for, or expecting the site to make a lot of money, so I'm looking for someone who wants to write for the passion of writing, and for the Jays. The money the site does make, you will be paid for your share, which will be determined by how often you write, and quality of the work. ie, if someone writes once a week but it's well researched and obviously took a long time to write it, they will be compensated fairly. You'll have to keep in touch with the other authors to make sure you guys don't overlap. Looking for writers to cover: - Prospects and Minors. Basically anything happening in the minors. Someone on a hot streak, someone promoted, someone standing out, etc. - Blue Jays articles. Articles on the Jays, their play, players, etc. ie "Here is why Goins can stick at the Major League level." - Around baseball news. Anything news worth related to baseball. Bad call that ended the game. Someone busted for steroids. Someone arrested etc. - Blue Jays rumors. Breaking news that's posted as soon as it's heard. Our guys are usually ahead of MLBTR, it would be great if we could get it in article form, and live on the site. You dont' have to be locked into one area, but these are the four areas I think we'd need covered. Please send me a PM if you are interested. WRITER UPDATE We have three set.
