  1. Ignore function has been modified. If you ignore someone now, you won't see their post, or new threads they start. We've had a few donations. Thanks so much.
  2. Man, that post, nice and simple, really put things in perspective. (how bad JPA is)
  3. Did I hear that right? Dickey will go in the final game versus the Indians and Buehrle will start versus teh O's? Tablers reasoning was Dickey already pitched three times against the O's lol. Is it because they've mashed him every time? 16 runs in three starts. Or is it because he's the 'ace' and with the day off, they want to move him up a day? If there is a "Dickey Effect", it wont' be happening this time because Buehrle starts the series. I find it hilarious if they're keeping him away from the Orioles when he is supposed to be our ace. Imagine moving Halladay around to skip a series because he pitched against them three times already lol, wouldn't see that.
  4. I'm not 100% certain, but 21 is not the total left on base. 21 is the total attempts with runners left on base. ie, two runners on base, jose comes up, strikes out. ee comes up, strikes out. The box score you listed will add 2LOB beside each of their names, total 4, when in reality it was just two left on base. I think the actual left on base is actually 20 different runners. If you check the MLB boxscore, we had 9 LOB.
  5. I agree. But my point wasn't comparing the two players.
  6. Hulet usually writes great stuff and is very familiar with the Jays, but imo, I thought it was pretty dumb. Wonder if he knocked Mauer when he was in the minors for not having any power? He has 8 doubles in 93 at bats in AA. SSS but he'd be leading the league in doubles right now if he played as many games as the rest of the league.
  7. Okay thanks. Yeah I was going to do the donator or something cool under their name. We got a few donations, thanks guys who have donated. Someone donated but didn't give their forum name, please PM me if you did, and the name so I know it's you. Unless you want to keep it anonymous. Nonetheless, thank you so much. I turned off images in signature, I just felt it makes threads look too ugly. But if people want it on, we can discuss that.
  8. Like what? I've never accepted donations before, and only did it as it was suggested by a few people. Like I said, I don't want people to feel obligated, if they want to help out, go ahead. I really don't know if Ang should be donating.
  9. lol we can use it for that too! We can always use the money towards contests, and stuff like that too. Signed jersey or signed bat giveaway would be pretty cool.
  10. The ignore list will be about $100, at most. Any extra money will be used for any future modifications/costs etc. Any upgrades that are decided upon. It's not mandatory, don't feel forced. I wouldn't mind seeing if I could do the standings thing, or maybe even live scores somehow integraded into the site, if that's possible. There's just been a few posts where guys said they wouldn't mind donating a few bucks towards site costs, so I figured I'd put this up for those that want to. Gsnarls covered most the cost for this upgrade, which I told him not to! Some sites take donations to make money, this is donations to go back into the site. I'll take a look at that. I kinda like the paypal one though, as I can just keep it in the paypal account, rather than the money going into my bank account (which it does for email transfer).
  11. The mods and I have been talking, and Gsnarls really like the idea of when you add someone to ignore, you don't see their posts anymore, or even the "You have this person on ignore". I said to have something like that custom done will be about $100, probably less. Gsnarls said he would pay for it (bless his soul), but I said there's no need for him to cover the cost. So I set up a donation page. The donations isn't mandatory, it's simply for anyone that wants to help the site out, and contribute for improvements. I will not take any of the money from donations. The donations will strictly be for forum upgrades, modifactions, and any costs needed for the site. It costs some money for the forum, and monthly costs for the server, but I really don't mind paying it, I'm just glad the forum turned into what it did. But some guys said they'd like to donate, so I'm setting this up. Also, I'd like to mention, I told Gsnarls to send a $1 payment to test it, to make sure it was working, and he went ahead and sent $50. So thanks so much. I told him the whole point of this was so he didn't have to donate a lot lol. And if anyone has any other ideas for forum modifications, let me know. If we all agree on it, we can do it. I've been trying to get something to link the stands off the forum, but it's been hard finding something that works. I think MLB doesn't like their content shared for some reason, as you can tell by rarely seeing any MLB videos on youtube. To make a donation, please visit: http://www.bluejaysmessageboard.com/donate.html You can pay by paypal or credit card. All transactions are safe and secure, and done via PAYPAL, not our website. Also, if you wante to put your username in the message, I'll try and give a little "donator" tag to your name, if you'd like. Thank you for all donations, it is appreciated, and will help the site grow. We are not affiliate with MLB or the Toronto Blue Jays. Any donations will not be taken as profit.
  12. Derek Jeterish!
  13. That's why I said at the break, let Stroman and Hutch pitch, stretch McGowan out. See if they can get a spot.
  14. Pitched well enough to win. Needed support from offense... sarcasm
  15. Six HR behind Davis. I think Davis cools off and Cabrera pases him. Yes or no?
  16. Two more years of this as well. Probably just end up releasing him. If he's worse next year, he can't be in the rotation, period.
  17. Seven of 19 starts Dickey has given up six or more earned runs. Nine starts he's given up two or less runs.
  18. EE too. Damn, I haven't played often, but I haven't gotten one right since early on in the season.

Setoguchi for a 2nd round pick. Makes $3M next year. Most underrated move of the day!
  20. God, just shut your mouths already, this is embarrassing. Yeah it's been two months, because he's been terrible the whole year. Pretty good article. Really threw some stats out there. I think this incident is really opening the eyes of some of the casual fans that thought he was so amazing.
  21. Does AA picnic? That is the question.
  22. Lawrie's .200 average wasn't helping too much either.
