  1. I remember a headline on Bluejays.com a couple weeks ago and I chuckled. "How will the Jays replace DeRosa?" I think we found our answer.
  2. I suggested we traded for him and Willingham last year. Thank god we didn't lol. Willingham had a terrible year as well.
  3. Pick any random stat outside of home runs and you'll find your answer.
  4. Mariners in on Price and Cano. If it costs Walker, why wouldn't they just keep him? Hernandez Iwamura Walker Paxton xxx That can be a deadly rotation next year. Too bad their offense is terrible, they need a hell of a lot more than Cano.
  5. A deal with the Rays? We'd be looking at Sanchez, Stroman, Osuna, Norris to start.
  6. Is that real? Because that sounds like something we would make up, making fun of him lol
  7. Zaun made a great point the other day. He said pretty much every guy in baseball could go out there and hit 20+ HR if that was the only thing they tried to do, it's not that hard to do. But when you strike out, don't walk, and barely get any other hits, that's not helping anyone. In three years he has a .212/.258 line, and is terribly defensively. Aaron Hill was an all star with Toronto, and one for some years he was one of the best defensive 2B in the league. You can't even compare the two players. Hill has shown potential. JPA hasn't shown anything. Nothing at all. It's the front office's own fault. They could have fixed JPA, worked with him, and they chose to do nothing at all. To be fair, sure maybe someone can come along and work with him and rebuild him from scratch, maybe he can still have a career. But if he goes and does that somewhere, I'll be okay with it, because he's had his chance here.
  8. Than what are they talking the worst team gets first option?
  9. I just think we need to go over and above, rather than sit and hope these guys perform like they should. Our rotation is terrible. Dickey - Who knows what we're going to get. He could have an high 4 ERA next year. Buehrle - Consistent but isn't getting any younger. We're probably going to see an 83mph fastball from him this year. That's insane. Morrow - ? Stroman - ? Romero - ? Hutch - ?
  10. Darvish was a 4.9 WAR pitcher his first year. We need Tanaka. Man, can't believe we missed out on Darvish when we were so close (well so far in reality though). We might not give up Synd and TDA if we ended up with Darvish.
  11. John Sarcasm on Twitter.
  12. White Sox or Cubs will get him. Konerko just re-upped with the Sox one more year becasue they promised to get Tanaka!
  13. Give me Tanaka and I'll take replacement level at 2B.
  14. If I trade Bautista I'm blowing the whole team up. If we don't pick up an above average starting pitcher and improve 2B, I don't see what's the point of this season. Our rotation is full of question marks right now, and I can't call us a playoff contender if we don't make some changes.
  15. Pretty interesting that AA is giving anything away. He's never said a single word about possible trades before. Feeling the pressure I bet.
  16. Cespedes is over rated in my opinion. I wouldn't give up Skaggs alone for him.
  17. Yeah Zaun talked about him being lazy, but apparently he was a hard worker last year. Hopefully he sticks to that.
  18. Hopefully ANderson or Garza end up here and we don't lose any of our top prospects.
  19. Anderson + Tanaka + keep all our top prospects and we're back in business.
  20. The truth is, Navarro isn't an awful deal, but he's coming off a good season, after several poor seasons. There's a chance this can be a great deal and he provides 2.5+ wins. But there's also a great chance he goes back to his old terrible self. Hanigan is coming off a bad season, in which he was still better than Arenciba. But he's been really consistent the previous years.
  21. f*** our FO seriously. Rays putting on a clinic.
  22. $8.25 for one year. Holy s***, that's a terrible deal. I can't believe he got double what Navarro did. He's 38 years old in a month.
  23. When I first starting reading that's what I thought. But if I'm understanding it correctly every team worse than us can take him over us. I dont' think that really increases our odds.
  24. Pretty f***ing dumb. Pretty much handing the free agent to the worst place team if they want him.
  25. Quite a few teams have! We're helping rebuild the Mets and the Marlins, and helping keep the Rays up top lol.
