1. Beckett or Billingsley. Can't go wrong for a #5 starter.
2. We had a couple hundred visits the first day (all from here), and I was really happy with that. The majority of blogs wish to hit 200 visitors in a day, and most will give up before they even reach that point. The fact we did that in our first day alone was great. I said it will probably take months to get some real traction. Take a long time to get expsoure, and attention from other sites. I guess if you put out the quality pieces these guys have, it doesn't take that long. We're over 200 visits for the day already. We have people contacting JFaS to write for them already, nothing paid yet, but I think it's a matter of time.
3. JFaS, we're prepared to offer you $100 over three years. We feel our offer is fair. Like that?
4. We have to threaten JFaS's life if he leaves the blog! I can't believe the attention this article has received. It's exciting seeing it grow and grow.
5. Okay. You guys decide how you want to handle it. I'm sure it'll be good any way it's done.
6. I think the best route would be to decide how many you guys want to do. Then create the list. Then after comparing rankings, write your prospect profiles.
7. I thought it would be cool to do a top prospect countdown like that other Jays blog did, forget which one. But we could get you guys to create a top prospect list, 15,20, or 30. And we'll rank the prospects by the votes they got. And you guys could do a small paragraph on each one. Like maybe do the paragraphs after we look at each other's rankings. Like you'll say why xxxx is ranked #Y. But say two guys rank a guy in the low teens, and one of you rank him in the low 20s, you'll write a paragraph why you disagreed with the other two guys. So it's like a little paragraph about the prospect, but it's almost lke a discussion between the three of you as well. What do you guys think? And we could release these every second day to drag it on a bit. Unless we do 30, 60 days to count down might be a little too stretched out.
8. We could have had much more than $17M, if we didn't make idiotic decisions.
9. Quick, name me a catcher that had a good year a couple years ago, has been terrible since, but will cost a lot in a trade. That's who AA is targeting right now.
10. As we get closer to spring training, and if we make any significant moves, we're going to be having new members joining. Some of the members are going to be new to the Jays, some might not see the game differently than others, and have a different opinion. We want this board to grow, and in order to grow we have to welcome new members, whether they've been a fan for 10 years, or 10 days. What we don't need is someone jumping all over them if they make a bad post, suggestion, question, proposal, etc... then another 20 guy here jumping in on it. It's happened before, it makes the board look like s***, it makes it look like this is a small gang of stuck up snobs that think they know everything. And yes, I've been the captain of the ******* boat before, so I do know it can be frustrating. But as I mentioned, we want this board to grow. We want there to be new posts, new discussions, and new ideas. But if everyone jumps down the throat of someone with a different opinion, new members will probably just leave and never come back. We have an incredibily intelligent fanbase here, I'm willing to bet there maybe one or two teams that know the game inside and out, from the minors to the majors like we do here, but it can always be bigger. Our goal is to have this the biggest and best Jays board, period. Don't give people a reason to go back to that piece of garbage MLB board. Thank you
11. - Brian, we're looking at $12M for two years. How is that does that sound? - Brian? - Brian, you getting my texts or what?
12. I'll get an icon up for the site tonight, thanks for the note. Also guys, let's not bash other sites, they might think twice about linking to ours one day.
13. Thanks for post, they were posted exact same time, everyone started posting on the other, gonna close this.
14. A couple guys have showed interest. To those guys, and anyone interested, what we need at this time is someone who can post about breaking news, give the facts and a brief opinion on it, if you wish. Mostl Jays related stuff but big news like the Fielder trade would be great as well. Other stuff like the Johnson signing in SD (ex Jay), AA interview on the radio, big free agent signings, Jay rumors, etc. We need someone who can post it rather quick, atleast for the most part. On top of that if you wanted to do long pieces we can do that too, but what we need most right now is someone breaking the latest news.
15. JFaS has his TIPs article up, check it out: http://www.breakingblue.ca/2013/11/21/tips-a-new-era-estimator/ I'm not one to overhype something, but I'm pretty amazed by the quality that has been published so far. Great work guys.
16. Was both. Go on any forum, some guy from another team comes around and trolls here and there. And there were a good 3-5 posters that all they did was troll the forum. Add in the fact Jays were favorites to win the WS, and there's a wave of new posters. When those members troll, and there is no moderator to delete it, they go full throttle. Welcome
17.

12:52 Comment From Jtt Scherzer and Prince for Kinsler is about the closest way I can see the tigers getting rid of prince. 18. I'd like to add I didn't like the deal from the beginning, but was told to sit back and enjoy it. We were going to win in this 'window'. Here we are one year later and that window is already closed, and now we're f***ed.
19. I know the URL, but it's not really a big deal.
20. Good idea about the headers. The post is just a post though, doesn't matter if there' sa date on it. It's an intro to the site,
21. That would be cool, we even have a star rating system in place where you can give it a rating out of 5.
22. Okay I'll darken it a bit. Looks okay on my end.
23. Yeah that's still available. But let's use this one for quotes so we are consistent. I think it looks better too.
24. Let's use this for blockquotes, as it looks much nicer.
content
