JaysFan99 Verified Member Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago It’s at least fun being a thorn in the Red Sox side

G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Gotta say The possibility of iwnning at least 3 out of 4 against the Red Sox right now feels absolutely enormous
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago I remain extremely unimpressed by the Red Sox. JaysFan99 1

We have like a 5% chance. 1 out of 20 times we make some magical run. I'm just playing the odds man. We have Lee and Little pitching in leverage, Vlad has like 3 HRs this year and ever other game we lose a starting pitcher to injury. It's over man. Bump that up to 6% and lets party baby!! I get the concerns about his contract - I do. But at least he has a high floor. The elite defense and good base running at a premium position remains valuable, even if the bat stinks. It could be a lot worse.

I mean you can't be a "true" fan of 2 teams that compete in the same division, but you can certainly like 2 teams in the same division. I have no concerns cheering for TB or Boston once the Jays are out of it. I do feel a little greasy doing it - but I find teams entertaining based on the mixture of the players (often new young players who are ascending to superstardom, or old vets who turn back the clock). Sometimes that's on a team in our division.

VladdyAlomar Verified Member Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Jays are just playing really good baseball lately. Even in Philly they battled worked counts and did the little things right. Even when there behind they keep grinding out AB's and finding ways too hang around. Just really clean solid baseball and they dont seem to get rattled. Been alot of fun to watch.

The only time I would cheer for an AL East team is if they were playing the Yankees in a playoff series and then I would immediately cheer for their next opponent to sweep that team. Appreciate players on their teams or their style of play, sure but if the Jays are out I'm picking an NL team to root for. I am a petty man.
