They might give him a chance to get some of his healthy pitchers back, but Schneider might end up on the hot seat here. The mediocrity of the American League is keeping them alive, but that can't last forever.

The players have tuned him out, all his remaining juice was fully squeezed last season and in the WS. There is zero accountability on this team and the team needs a real MLB manager. The problem is Shatkins only wants a yes man type manager like Schneider and Montoya. The franchise has become a joke, good thing Ed Rogers is a moron and keeps whipping out $300M+ to the Shatkins nightmare.

Where would this team be if Atkins had to work with a payroll that all previous GMs did.  Kudos to Shapiro on that though.

You can't just jump into hitting MLB pitching after being out for an extended period of time. It's the hardest thing to do in any professional sport.

Is it really? Im talking about the good/elite players... not the average guy. 

Other sports have physical contact between players that cant be controlled and should be riskier for reinjury too.
