Masterbather Old-Timey Member Posted June 3 Posted June 3 We just have to believe that Guerrero is going to be better, we have to hope that Springer is not completely washed and the toe injury just disrupted his early season flow and that the offense starts putting it together soon. It's now that we really understand the impact of not having Santander available. Springer's bounce back was covering it up. He's not the greatest thing in the world but if he gets at bats, he hits home runs.
Laika Community Moderator Posted June 3 Posted June 3 I dunno about that. Santander being healthy means they don't trade for Jesus. The one thing Toronto has going on right now is offense-first corner outfielders. I mean having a second guy with 10+ homers right now sure would be nice.
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted June 3 Posted June 3 Team has basically been treading water which is frustrating but also kind of okay given all the injuries and that the fact that the AL sucks. Seemed like we were building some momentum until the Cease injury which really hurts the entire pitching staff. We now have two bullpen games every 5 days which is insane. But things should get better on the injury front in a hurry. Cease, Kirk, Nance and Scherzer should be back next week Barger back sometime this month Bieber should be back by the end of the month May get Yimi back this month but I'm not counting on it
Omar Old-Timey Member Posted June 3 Posted June 3 By the end of June with everyone coming back healthy it's going to feel like this team has pulled off a blockbuster trade. Captain Kirk and Slippin' Yimi will save the season. Spanky__99 1

Hope so But we need everyone else to stay as healthy as possible And we still need more from Springer and Vladdy Or we need Springer to play less :( (I love the guy so it absolutely pains me to say it but a 282 OBP and 79wRC+ in the leadoff spot isn't going to cut it)
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted June 3 Posted June 3 Also, f*** Anthony Santander Probably the worst signing ever Tirade over. Sorry. DownSouthBlueJay, Gen.Disarray, Acemeister79 and 4 others 5 2

Turning into one of the worst FA signings at this point, we'll see after 5 years lol. I'd argue Tulo's 5 year contract we absorbed via trade is hard to top though. Stangstag 1

Yes we are missing Barger and yes we are missing Kirk but their replacements have been hitting decently well. The lineup as it currently is should be better than this.

Omar Old-Timey Member Posted June 3 Posted June 3 Guaranteed win night fellas. Jays are going to get to Holmes. ....
gruber9292 Verified Member Posted June 3 Posted June 3 Best line up drawn up so far with Barger and Kirk out. Springer should only start 4-5 games a week moving forward imo.
