I'm on the record several times that while the race for the division was over April 3rd or so, they will become first 79 win team to win World Series and provided specific playoff predictions. Based on their improved play I now think they will win 80 games, thus not the first 79 win team to win the World Series, but still first sub .500 team. WC round - Blue Jays 80-82 over 'The As' (residing in Sacramento for now) 2-1 ALDS - Blue Jays 80-82 over Cleveland Guardians 90-72 3-1 ALCS - Blue Jays 80-82 over Tampa Bay Rays 110-52 4-1 World Series - Blue Jays 80-82 over Dodgers 95-67 4-2 Jays24 and Rynodb1 2

(not good option) Option 3 - Varland pitches 100 inning 150 strike-outs. This could possibly work for 3 years or so before his arm falls off. Jays24 1

Yeah they plucked Miles but they also somehow avoided losing Pinango who some thought was a juicy pick. Double Whammy I thought we were going to lose him, thank God we didn't.

We know they like those counting numbers. It helps with their arbitration numbers and how much they get paid. Or maybe JS just didn't want to take any chances. We need to build some momentum and blown leads/saves are super deflating. Spanky__99 and Rynodb1 2

Hopefully Heiniman has a trade market from a desperate team. No I can't see them doing that unless they feel Vanezuela needs full time playing time to continue his development. Who knows what how they view it. I think he's helped the big league team right now, so I want him to stay and contribute however he can. jaysblue and Spanky__99 2

Yeah I think the Jays could make it work with both Kirk and Valenzuela on the active roster. Need to squeeze as much offense out of this lineup as possible, and keeping Valenzuela around over Heineman is a significant improvement on both sides of the ball. Spanky__99 1

Simply to nail it shut and finish them. 1 more W in the next 2 games and knock up another series W.

Nice sample bro, I know his bat has regressed immensely, but a bat isn't what teams look for in a backup C, it's the defense. He won't return a lot but maybe a platoon bat for Lefties or a lottery ticket works, hell, even cash towards the deadline or in the INT market works. We'll see by early mid-June. Just look at the Bailey return although he's like elite defensively, wherein Heineman is normally very good and in the top 10.
