Someone needs to grab Hoffman by the scruff of the neck and tell him to wake the f*** up before he walks out onto that field.

Can I level with everyone? We’re all friends here, right?

I desperately need a Jays W today.

I’ve been doubling down every game during this 6-game losing streak, so I’m now in for 32 units on today’s game. Had to dip into my kid’s college fund for this one, so there’s no shot I can chase with 64 tomorrow.

So yeah… today is pretty much do or die. If they lose, I genuinely don’t know how I’m paying my mortgage.

On top of it, I’m irritable, my work performance is tanking and I even yelled at my dog this morning. My DOG.

At this rate I’m getting fired, my wife is leaving me, and I’ll be explaining to my kid why he’s going to community college because the team can't get a hit with the bases loaded.

So please, for the love of god, I am begging you...just win today.

The schedule aside from the Dodgers has been easy, so 5-7 looks bad (and it is), but given how bad the bats have been combined with the injuries, they have to figure out a way to hold their head above water for a couple of months as players come back from injury and the hitters regress positively. Hopefully if/when that happens, even against tougher opponents, it will lead to more success.

Terminator just cashed in huge!!!

if you think he was serious

Huge sigh of relief lmao. Definitely heading to the bar to celebrate tonight.

And I know I said I wasn't going to bet again.

BUT...

...I am seeing a lot of value with Corbin on the hill against the Twins on Friday. Just sayin.

I swear to god. You put that money in the bank and you lock it away in an investment so you can't touch it.

Based on what?  Last year?  You've never seen closers go through ups and downs from year to year?

Is Josh Hader reliable?  He went from a 1.23 ERA to a 5.22 ERA to a 1.28 ERA to a 3.80 ERA over the last 4 years.

Hoffman was fantastic in 2023 and 2024 and has been lights out so far this year.  20.25 K/9, 2.70 BB/9, 0.16 xFIP.   Maybe 2025 is the outlier?

I don't know if I would go with the words "lights out". Obviously his underlying numbers are very good. But he has still blown 2 saves and lost a game in the first 2 weeks. He got himself in trouble again tonight. Gotta pump the breaks on that a little bit. We need to see some more mental toughness from him to bare down when things don't go well because things to tend to snowball on him quickly. Today was an excellent example of him not letting the situation get out of hand.
