I mean I don't think much of Robert either. The guy has been complete ass for years now and that's if he can even stay healthy.

He's also pretty expensive, especially to a tax paying team. And he makes even less sense for us as he'd be a short side platoon bat for us. Makes a little more sense for the Orioles in that they don't have to pay the tax and he's a full time starter for them.

But I have zero problem judging moves as their made. That's half of what makes this board fun is being an armchair GM as the moves are made. So I don't blame Hanton for making a call on whether he likes the move or not.

Rays ahead 7 - 5 over the Rangers (late in the game)

Diaz base hit, Mateo pinch runs, steals second and Caminero knocks him in with a base hit.  Nothing like fundamentals

Our old friend Macko is now in to pitch

Nothing like having a guy who hits 40 bombs like it's nothing in your lineup.

And some of you wanted to drop 5M on that stiff, lmao. 🙄

Real "nice addition".

You know he's made of glass, but even this feels like bad luck.

I've owned that fella since he broke in, I'm simply not surprised.

The board is not meant to be fun.  The board is here for us to get recognized and eventually hired by teams.  Most of us don’t expect to be here more than 2-3 years.  It’s Like a ttiple A team for the front office of the jays and I’m sure other teams too

maybe the fact you view it as fun is why you are one of the older members here who still haven’t been picked up by a team

Piece of advice.  when you make a post here, you have to assume every gm in the league is reading it.

You put out one bad trade idea even if just joking around like oh we should trade Arrigheti for Aaron judge?  Yea, it’s over for you.  At least Until you can bury that one bad post with 1000 good ideas then they will maybe reconsider.

i find they like it most when we critique pitching changes (or not pulling a pitcher) and lineup construction

I think you owned him in every league haha. What the hell was your training staff feeding him? 😂

The FC... draft him in LOD but traded him before he debuted in '19 for Luis Castillo. That trade worked out extremely well.

Not sure anyone was mentioned this or not, but Savant now has a "1b Receiving" section in their defense breakdowns.

Theyve got OAA based on throws that are on target, bounce, scoops, wide, high and low.

Yeah, Laika mentioned it a while back, very cool, Tango said he was working on it to us, cool beans. connorp needs to confront him again for more laughs.

15 outs difference from top to bottom is a bit wider a gap than Tango was anticipating if I remember right, though that may been specific to scooping.

I believe it was scooping but he added so much more to it. 😎

Very much so.

And specific to scoops... 5 outs difference from top to bottom of the league. And Vlad sucks at scoops. LOL, that's what he was supposed to be good at?

Yeah I remember this from like 3-4 weeks ago.  Confirmed that Vlad is a really poor defender at 1st.

See that play last night, it was pretty sick bro.

I prefer to look at the full body of work and it's pretty damning.  I saw Tony Batista hit a lot of home runs too - that didn't make him a good hitter.

Did you just comp Batista to Vlad?

At least when Tony Batista was a 100 wRC+ hitter, he hit 41 HRs and 114 RBIs.

Tony Batista could give you 32 HRs and 110 RBIs with a 76 wRC+

Vlad can't do those things.

Dude - Vlad is a useless f*cking POS.  Largest waste of talent I've ever seen.  He often teases us with the potential, but the reality is you really never have any idea what you're going to get offensively and are often left underwhelmed.

Obviously I hope this changes as he matures, but it simply hasn't happened yet and I no longer expect it to.  I'll just be pleasantly surprised if it does.
