Nice.  Rotation looks strong. Hopefully less bullpen innings this year although they may try and limit Yesavage reg seasons innings a bit.  I don’t mind the years, a bit long but at least we have a couple guys locked up long term.

It's definitely an overpay in years, but in free agency you either go one year more than you're comfortable with or you lose the player. The Jays wanted the player. Cost of doing business. Cease has 5 straight seasons of at least 32 starts so he fits with the Jays love of durability (with the caveat that pitchers can break at any time), and there's real front of the rotation stuff there. This is definitely their hope for Gausman part II. Certainly pitching in front of the Jays defense should help him a lot.

Rogers should have the dough. After World Series run.

I expect them to pick up remaining option on Maple Leafs and Scotia Bank next summer and take MSLE public. 

Headed for lockout after next season. Will end up hard cap. Value of franchise should go to moon. Once they get salaries tied to revenue. Along with leases. Rogers own their park so value of Blue Jays franchise should sky rocket in coming years.

This is exciting news as Cease was my preferred rotation target with Imai coming in 2nd. Hopefully this gives Tucker a little more motivation to sign with the Jays to create a bit of a super team heading into 2026.
