Don't hate the lineup. Like Vladdy hitting second, might get him an extra AB. Love Lukes leading off. Bichette in the three-hole is nice too especially as a DH. Tells me they plan to keep him in there all night. Don't love Barger hitting ahead of Kirk but I get it, lefty-righty. I don't understand IKF over Schneider but, I imagine at some point Schneider is getting at least 1 AB.

I dunno guys. Bieber needs to throw the game of his life and we need to get to Ohtani early. Gonna be a long night otherwise.

Something with his arm or shoulder, he hasn't played the field in a long time. He's a better fielder than Santander and he was playing out there over Springer this post season, something didn't smell right there..

I think that was a choice they made in spring training, for the sake of his durability. Dude is getting banged up just DHing, imagine him in the field too.

Need Bieber to go toe to toe with Ohtani the mound and pitch at least 7 innings. Hopefully Bieber is on his A game tonight and we can get 7-8 innings out of him. Would be huge!

Right, i don't care if he strikes out on three high fastballs, he can hit a hanger for a home run on the 4th at bat. And he can also work a walk.

Its a completely indefensible decision.

I agree with you guys here, just plug his bat in at 2nd base and be done with it.

When I think of players sitting out or “load management” in the World Series, I am reminded of the line from the Hangover II.

But did you die!?

We can’t be putting out lineups with IFK and his type  in there against the Dodgers…

I can tell you one thing.  If Schneider walks Ohtani in the first inning, I'm just going to throw a hissy fit yelling at the TV that is just going to piss my wife off.  So let's hope that doesn't happen.

I don't think Bieber will be given a chance to go 7 innings but I just hope he commands his off speed pitches more effectively as he's incredibly hittable when he's hanging his slider. Tonight is as close to a must win game as you can get without being an actual must win game. Squeak out a victory tonight and it's suddenly a best of 3 with the Jays regaining home field advantage. Lose this one and the season is on the precipice of being over.

Yeah there’s something with the arm/wrist, you could see it the last few weeks with his swing follow-through looking very awkward.

I don’t think he can play through this Oblique injury though, nobody really can. Unless he starts batting lefty maybe lol

IKF beats out what should have been a 6-4-3 dp

IKF with a great over the shoulder catch down the right field line

IKF elite tag to get Ohtani trying to steal 2nd

Schneider is capable of going off over a series and IKF is not. We are the underdog, so we should be increasing our upside not decreasing our downside. Simple as that.

If the SP is RH and throws harder than Jamie Moyer (the current version sitting at home, not the one who played), then DS is on the bench. That’s what JS has decided. The Jays are the only team in pro sports who would value IKF at $15M, and this has been going on all playoffs so I don’t think it’s just a JS decision. The team wants IKF to start, and they were starting Craig’s son over DS two years ago. It is what it is.

Broken record.

I don't disagree, but this team values contact and defense very highly, which are two things DS doesn't do well. Between that and whatever issues he has or had with high velo (haven't looked at the numbers to see if anything has changed there), and they've probably decided they have specific "lanes" to use DS and prefer IKF otherwise. It worked in the ALCS. We just have to hope there's more BABIP magic left in his bat.

I can see that but we are now down springer and santander and have half a Bo. We need pop.

Yeah oblique is something that is going to be very difficult to play through. Springer is a gamer but that's asking a lot. Let's see how he feels tomorrow, hopefully it's a 2-2 series by then.

I just bought plane tickets to Toronto today. I'm trying to stay positive and am not giving up hope. Hoping we can get at least one more win in LA so I can use the most expensive main cabin plane tickets I have ever purchased!!!! :) Good grief!!

I would've preferred Bichette lower just because you know JS is going to pull him at some point. Then you have a hole in the middle of the power lineup

I would hope that Schneider learned something from last night's game.  There is no need to pull Bichette this game as he is the DH.

It’s sad that ohtani is so obsessed with his dog he has to get custom made clothes with his face on them.

If any of us did that we’d be labelled as whack jobs.

He's a freak of nature.
