jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted October 26, 2025 Posted October 26, 2025 I had no issue using Varland in that spot. You're only down 3-1 and you hope he can put out the fire. Still a winnable ball game at that point. Jays came back down 3-1 against Seattle in Game 7. On the fence about using Hoffman, but tomorrow is an off-day and you need to keep him fresh. Just sucks some of the Dodgers bats got a look at him. Yamamoto was just dealing all night. Tip your cap to him. Omar, Spanky__99, Rynodb1 and 1 other 4
hanton Old-Timey Member Posted October 26, 2025 Posted October 26, 2025 "the Jays managed to get the split" no Ivanka lol
Laika Community Moderator Posted October 26, 2025 Posted October 26, 2025 Yamamoto is incredible It's like if Chris Bassitt threw 98 hanton, Spanky__99, G-Snarls and 1 other 3 1

Tip your cap to him. He was dealing. We have to make some adjustments. At least in Bo's one AB he crushed in 108 off the bat, so putting him in the starting lineup will probably help!
Omar Old-Timey Member Posted October 26, 2025 Posted October 26, 2025 Glasnow looked wicked in his last start against Milwaukee. The bats have to come alive. Kordesi 1
SeranthonySantander Verified Member Posted October 26, 2025 Posted October 26, 2025 Somehow getting a split feels disappointing. But we have better odds in a 5 game series despite losing home field and fangraphs has us 37%, slightly better than before game 1 started.

I think if we were playing any other team yes, winning 2 in a row even at home vs the Dodgers might have been asking for much. Stangstag and SeranthonySantander 2
SeranthonySantander Verified Member Posted October 26, 2025 Posted October 26, 2025 In regards to glasnow, he’s 1-5 against Toronto 5.79 era but we can disregard that We can’t ignore that max scherzer is 1-1 with a walk and 2.00 ops against him lifetime IKF 1-10 with a single Schneider 1-2 with a doubl and a walk bichette hasn’t done well against him 2-16 but Vlad is 6-17, springer 6-13 and giminez 2-8 and those last 3 all have homers off him clement, barger lukes and varsho no luck all having a handful of at bats jaysblue 1
