What benefit do we get from removing him from the roster. Would you rather have Tommy Nance or Joey Loperfido or would you rather have Bo available to pinch hit tonight and start on Monday? In what scenario is Tommy Nance the difference between winning and losing?

I simply do not like Ohtani.  Guy is scamming people in real estate deals in Hawaii and then the gambling thing, the check swing in august, the pick off last night.

He is quickly wearing out his welcome in the league and people are losing patience

I suspect the plan was always to give Bo game 2 off with the travel day coming.  If the situation is right you may see him off the bench tonight. That's just the Blue Jay way. No need to look deeper than that.

good point + load management with the travel day tomorrow this is a good chance to get him off his feet

Bo would still be weeks away if it was the regular season 

They are trying to ensure he can contribute in every game this series, in some way 

It probably is the best way to optimize what you have left or Bo Bichette to manage his workload even if it is the World Series

They did a league wide turf survey and like 70-80% of the players prefer the synthetic field to grass in the NFL, more and more teams are moving to it. So there's that.

Bo is likely hurting after playing injured yesterday but could very well be good enough to take one PH at bat if the Jays really need it.

Yeah, it's very safe now. Big $$$... but you save in the long run in concerns of maintenance, etc...
