IKF in the lineup, Bo out. Probably a “load management” situation here as Bo is likely still hurt. Hopefully he’s good for pinch hitting later.

Hopefully they expand on this a bit more and it is a form of load management.  This situation is a difference maker.

No Bo.  Hope he's good to PH.

Hope so! He looked very uncomfortable after making that great play going to his right and turning to throw it to first last might. I can't image that feeling too good on his injury.

Scherzer G3 Bieber G4

I wonder why?

Scherzer probably went to coach with the crazy eyes and said he's ready to dominate again and coach wanted an extra rest day for Bieber. I don't know the real reason though....

G3 starter is a potential gm 7 starter if it goes that far.

That would be so awesome if Bo also got a PH grand slam.

If the series went to game 7 I'd guess it's more of an all hands on deck/bullpen kind of game vs a dedicated starter going deep into the game.

That's my guess. It's obvious that Bo is nowhere close to 100% yet and as such it feels like the team isn't going to start him in back to back games in an attempt to keep him available for the entire series.

Here's some relative quote from Sportsnet:

Bo Bichette will begin Game 2 of the World Series on the bench.

The Toronto Blue Jays did not include the infielder in their starting lineup for Game 2 against the Dodgers (8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT, Sportsnet, Sportsnet+), but did confirm that he will be available off the bench.

Manager John Schneider said on Saturday that Bichette felt “better than expected” after Game 1.

“After the layoff, didn’t want to kill him, ya’ know?” Schneider added.

Game 2 is almost here! Let’s keep the bats hot and think Gausman gets over his 5.2 inning hump today. Going up 2-0 would be tremendous. I think Bo will enter late if game is close. Let’s enjoy the game, fellas.

Not having Bo is a HUGE loss...  He said he was fine in post game interview..   I guess not....

One of Jimenez or IKF against Yamato, but not both.....:(

It was clear on that Grounder running to 1st he's no where near 100%. Hopefully they win comfortably and he can get two days off (G2 and off day)

Don’t wish to get too far ahead of this but this is a huge opportunity for us. Get the W and one of 3 in LA and we are firm favourites to take it. This is just so amazing. Come on Jays!  What a team!

One game at a time.

One inning at a time.

Sounds like BS, they just want the dodgers to think he may be available, he was obviously hurting on that play, same as what football teams do with the injury reports

Bassitt says he is available for all 7 games out of the pen. The guy is such a warrior and was so intense last night. I love him, he's one of my favourites.

I think he would be one of my high leverage guys. I cannot believe he touched 97 mph recently.

Bo isn't OK. Time to remove him of the roster

Bo was seen running the bases and taking part in defensive drills. I don't think you remove him right now.
