Im realizing too that they left Schneider in vs the Righty Cruz instead of going to Lukes, which is odd considering Lukes is a better defender too and it would’ve made sense. And maybe that error doesn’t happen.

Just a bunch of odd moves that didn’t work out today

As much as we bitch at him for the moves he didn’t do his normal , he needs to get back to doing the moves he did all season

I dunno , might be sentimental thinking but how about we play the line up that helped get us here not the late additions that didn’t help s*** (IKF and santander) the boys jive together better without them

At least Santandar is understandable because you made a big investment and he has a great track record.

IKF was waived by the damn pirates because no one wanted him at the deadline.  He has 0 reason to be touching the field

Barger into the game early as a pinch hitter instead of shoring up the defense early is giving shades of Raimel Tapia in the Seattle game

Yeah I hated starting IKF, but pinch hitting for him in the 3rd inning when the team was leading by 5 when the only reason you started him in the first place was to play defense (which you need when you're leading) was highly questionable. Might as well have started Barger in the first place. I think that error in the 1st inning shook JS and caused him to make that move.

Ya everything that was questionable bit them in the ass.

And so many of them avoidable.

Well their lefty came out.

Well, I just joined this forum tonight

Probably not the best time for it.

It looked like a night of celebration, but now it looks like they will have to win in Toronto on Friday because they have no one to pitch tomorrow. Plus, the bullpen would need a 10-run lead in order to ensure a win. Even if they make the World Series Barger should only ever be used a PH and never in the field. Schnieder should never have put him in the first place; there was no need to. This is almost Seattle all over again.

Here is hoping for the best.

Go Jays Go

A lot of this was his normal moves, just noticed that he didn’t make that one which is a move they made all year long. Even though i think Schneider is seeing the ball well now. Just an observation.

I'm starting to wonder if the order to start IKF came from Atkins and Schneider used this as a justification to get Barger in there

Stress manifests differently

Rather look like a lunatic on this board than in my WhatsApp groups where I have to see those people frequently.  If they only knew how I took my stress out on this board haha

I don't think they had any plan to start Barger vs Rodon. The odd move was not having Davis play Second Baase and Straw not in LF.

To the point even Buck Martinez went to Straw in person today and said to him "are you surprised youre not starting today because I am"

All this so we could start the worst player on our roster.

With the amount of ground you want covered in the OF. Straw made so much sense. It's not like IKF was an offensive improvement.

Still think this is on Bieber more than anything else, you have to shut things down after a good inning like that top of the 3rd. We can argue about lineup decisions all you want and obviously the errors are a big problem, but the game was put into the Yankees hands when he couldn't get out of the 3rd inning.

The Jays were playing free and easy until that ball dropped and then the wheels fell off the apple cart. Hopefully they can relax and come out playing their A game tomorrow

They talked about it in the broadcast.  The Jays like Tony's bat path and the matchup v. Rodon.  They use very advanced predictive models.  Do you not want them to be an advanced metrics organization?  I most certainly do.
