I was watching on Sportsnet but noticed a lot of complaining on the Yankees gdt about John Smoltz.  I guess they thought he was anti Yankee.

I liked Smoltz, I like his commentary from the pitching perspective. I was mostly talking about the pre-game crew of Jeter, Ortiz, and them.

The great thing is that even though Hoffman, Gimenez, and Santander have been disappointments, if they help fuel a World series run none of that matters.

Damn the Jays got a lot of monkeys off their back. From the big game and home run by Vlad, great start from Gausman, and the first playoff victory for this front office this game couldn't have gone any better. Kirk is looking like he's in the midst of becoming a superstar with the home run barrage at crunch time of the season. The bullpen didn't give the Yankees a sniff with Hoffman regularly reaching 97 MPH and the Jays beat up on the Yankees pen in game 1. Let's hope that the team continues to play loose and that they can take 2 more games in this series to move onto the ALCS.
