It's cool that there are some games on this week but I'm sorry, I just can't take any of these loser ass wild card teams seriously.  It's embarrassing and pathetic that we have a consolation round for these losers.

On one day of rest?

That's nuts. I guess if they have no regard for his arm health.

I seem to recall Randy Johnson pitching in a game 6 (with a high pitch count), then coming out of the bullpen for game 7. That was Randy Johnson though, and a different era.

I don't care who we play - both teams have some glaring weaknesses;  boston's lineup might be low key good for how they put the ball in play and run the bases plus some elite pitching

Just imagine if the Red Sox kept Devers and had Roman Anthony healthy.  That would have been a scary ass lineup to add to their pitching.

I forgot they also have Cases out for the year too... damn lol

Me neither

I just want them to go 3 games and stress their pitching staffs

Jared Carrabis in shambles. Nobody shits on Yoshida more than him and now has the biggest hit of their season

There is some merit to the strategy that if you are going to face an absolute ace like Crochet in game one of a short series then you should position your ace (Fried) to pitch game two instead of game one.

This ridiculous new age thinking that 100 pitches is some maximum. Totally fake nonsense.

They'd have been much better off letting Fried continue to pitch. He was cruising.

This and the whole "3rd time through" when you see the pitcher being elite.  Common sense has gone out the window and replaced by dweebs lol.  Some good but def some bad.

John Schneider is a better manager than Aaron Boone

Just wait until he calls for Hoffman in the 9th or pulls Bieber/Gausman throwing a perfect game but its the 3rd time through the order lol.

Alex Cora is smarter. He will ride Crochet 120-130 pitches no problem, Read bats not pitches.

And we have elite defense and put ball's in play with a better offense.

He also has a better bullpen to work with

Maybe it is because these days pitchers are throwing at much higher velocity? Back in the days, fast balls were mostly thrown at 90 mph.
