This might have made up for the Springer foul ball game. A competent ump behind the plate and Hoffman probably walks 4 batters that inning at a minimum, and there's no chance Schneider would have pulled him until the Rays took the lead. Whoever that HP ump was, thank you my friend.

I literally trust Bassitt/Berrios/Lauer in this role in the playoffs more than Hoffman

There are two bullpen pitchers that I don't trust. They are Hoffman and Little. Those 2 guys should not pitch in the high leverage situation
