Yeah thats what im starting to think. I thinks he’s entitled to a full-time role, and fair enough since he just signed a large deal. But the Bo situation throws a wrench in things.

I think Carpenter showed flashes of potential in his time with the Jays but couldn't stay healthy. Manoah had the double whammy of not being able to stay healthy and seeing his stuff regress dramatically as well. I wish him well with whatever team he ends up with but he faces an uphill battle.

I was really hoping it would work out, was hoping he could be back this year. Pretty shocking to do during a rehab assignment from a major surgery, but he always seemed to be pitching with smoke and mirrors even when he was healthy. I guess they just felt that's all he was going to be.

Not a fan of DFAing Manoah.  We needed to see how he looked next Spring Training before completely writing him off.  There were enough options to DFA guys.
