Bo's horrible speed evident there and hes our SS...

Hope he's ok though

I think we all knew he wasn’t scoring on that hit. The speed is so sad

Yup and imagine how that ages.  Its 2B or goodbye.

Great thing is that Bo would be out of the game if it weren't for the rain delay.  Maybe that break allows him to stay in the game.

Really hope he’s ok but it could be some kind of bone bruise… would think at least he’ll miss a few games maybe a short DL stint

Maybe, but not so sure. I feel like he’ll miss a few games at least

Going to be at least an hour delay looking at radar. Bo's going to have one hell of a bruise.

I am hoping they would suspend the game and resume it another day.

You want nothing to do with a guy who might be the best hitter in the game?  Plenty of good hitters are slow.  SMH!

Yes. He’s going to be paid as a SS when he’s closer to a DH or someone like Arraez with slightly more pop.

You guys think MLB will call the game even though both teams are in the midst of a playoff race?

I think it would be extremely reckless to call this game with such a close division. No need to. They can continue tomorrow if needed.

If Bo goes on the DL that probably means IKF in the lineup every day wooooo

I would hope Clement can cover the SS position if Bo is out.

Bichette is so fn slow holy. I know he’s a great hitter but i want nothing to do with him long-term

You want nothing to do with one of the best hitters in all of mlb? That’s quite a take

It's crazy that the easiest solution would be Clement at SS, Barger at 3B, and DS/Straw in the OF, but it will be IKF playing everyday instead. Bad defense and embarrassing sprint speed aside, the Jays can't afford to lose Bo the rest of the way.

Yeah Bassitt is what he is now: a durable, innings-eater backend starter with limited upside. Not a bad thing during the course of a 162 game season and you can do a lot worse.

He's been solid and consistent during his tenure here: 2.6, 2.3 and 2.1 WAR seasons.

I'm actually okay if the Jays did decide to bring back Bassitt on a one-year deal, but yeah wouldn't be anywhere close to the $21M AAV he's earning now. If you can get him between $12-15M on a one-year deal, something to contemplate. We'll see how the market pans out this offseason and if there are any higher upside arms available in that price range or via trade.

Nah, Berrios in 2026 already fills the back-end innings eater role, no need to pay for another one in FA when the one they're paying for already is more expensive.

One hopes they would sign a top rotation option, Gausman to 2, Berrios has a bounceback season as the 3 and all the internal options plus depth FA minor league deals fight over the last spots.

Manoah, Yesavage, Francis, Lauer, Estrada, plus whatever sh*t they pick up and try to throw against the wall. The rest of the minor league options are still either too far away, not ready, or just arent good enough. Bloss wont be ready to start the season but he'll probably factor in by July

They are probably better off adding two SP's, and letting Lauer/Manoah/Yesavage battle for the 5th spot. Berrios is already a ticking time bomb, so having him plus two of Lauer/Manoah/Yesavage/Francis/etc in the rotation is asking for trouble. Ideal scenario would be re-signing Bieber and then adding a 2nd big FA (Suarez?). They could probably afford to go a bit cheaper on the position player end given their depth there, but no chance I'd want to go cheap on the rotation.

Hope they will resume this game today instead of playing it out tomorrow or something. Only a matter of time before Boone brings in Williams and the bats explode.

Everyone jumping off a cliff here, you can clearly see from the replay he hit his shin! Worst case he might need a few days off. He won't go on the DL for a bone bruise worst case scenario.
