keggy Verified Member Posted August 30, 2025 Posted August 30, 2025 They need to get Fisher some experience in save situations in the minors before he's eligible to come back. Just saying. abola2121 1

Omar Old-Timey Member Posted August 30, 2025 Posted August 30, 2025 Maybe give Dominguez a shot at closing. Perhaps he steps up and surprises everyone. He has the velo and stuff just doesn't have the control. Ziggy Halladay 1

Buster Verified Member Posted August 30, 2025 Posted August 30, 2025 The broadcaster and toronto media are such pussies. I know they're all just corporate hacks owned by Rogers, but still. Horses Fart 1

He's the only reliever that hasn't been absolutely horrendous this month. I'd also consider bringing Yesavage up right now to pitch some high leverage relief innings. All options need to be on the table.
Ziggy Halladay Verified Member Posted August 30, 2025 Posted August 30, 2025 This is Atkins fault. We have zero arms in the bullpen like Milwaukee. Every guy they put on the mound is lethal. Priester is a solid sinker slider type. Those guys always give us problems. our only solid bullpen arm rn is Dominguez. We sent fish down for roster reasons. Now it looks like our bullpen is our undoing again. Two in a row vs the top team in the league. Rodriguez looks like he’s lost the zone. springer repeating his production next year is unlikely. Bo may leave. as I write this Hoffman serves up a double. this is comical. A tight series until our BP shows how far from contending we are. We can’t hang in these games. The playoffs if we make them will be a real kick in the groin. Close games are going to be death. Milwaukee looks like a legit team. We spend three times as much and look like the pretenders vs them. Bednar and Doval would have been huge. Sigh. September is going to be rough as both Boston and NY pass us. quick question to the group. Would we have had anything to math the Garret crochet package? Masterbather Verified Member Posted August 30, 2025 Posted August 30, 2025 Remember the 2021 team. One of the best teams we ever had. Remember what the failing of that team was? That's right folks, the same front office left us with a f***ass bullpen. Ziggy Halladay 1

You’re right, edge of zone which is why it’s confusing why he’s given up so many HRs but continuing to put him out there in same position and expecting different results is just madness. It gets shouted down until all of a sudden it’s undeniable but by that point it’s too late.

Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted August 30, 2025 Posted August 30, 2025 Dominguez, Varland, Little, Hoffman and Yariel is a good group of relievers. It's a matter of taking responsibility away from those who aren't doing well at a given moment. Right now, Hoffman Ist quition Stangstag 1

Lol That guy got them into the WS. We somehow got the front office guys who know dick all about pitching development from CLEVELAND. One of the best pitching development organizations. And then gave them way more money than most blue jays gms have ever got for zero pitching in ten years. Its not difficult. Hire from tampa. LA did it. Milwaukee did it. The guy who put in all the processes that paid off in Boston is from Tampa. He will do the same in St Louis. They have been given so much rope for barely acceptable return given the payroll. There is just so much captive media in Canada, barely anyone points out how much they suck. Ziggy Halladay and Stangstag 2
Ziggy Halladay Verified Member Posted August 30, 2025 Posted August 30, 2025 I think Hoffman needs to keep pitching inside. Living on the corners with his velocity isn’t fooling anyone. Inside and high help his slider down. Who cares if his hits some guys. Stangstag 1
