Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted July 25, 2025 Posted July 25, 2025 A little different format for the question of the week. Within reason, who is your #1 trade target in the next six days? The guy who, if acquired, would make you give the Blue Jays a B or higher grade at the trade deadline if that's all they did at the deadline.
Grant77 Old-Timey Member Posted July 25, 2025 Posted July 25, 2025 David Bednar, but if we also overpay for non-ace starter or a guy that doesn't fit at all like Suarez then I may have the grade lower than a B anyways.
max silver Old-Timey Member Posted July 25, 2025 Posted July 25, 2025 I'll go with Dylan Cease as a potentially available front of the rotation rental.
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted July 25, 2025 Posted July 25, 2025 Bednar or Clase. Edit.... Bednar GoBlue41 1
Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted July 26, 2025 Posted July 26, 2025 Bubic Edit: He died... I'll roll with Cabrera or Alcantara from the Marlins.
Jayzfan79 Verified Member Posted July 26, 2025 Posted July 26, 2025 Any 1 or more of Duran, Clase, Bednar

Agreed, hopefully they can land one. If they landed two of them that'd be something for sure. Nothing like closing out the 7th, 8th and 9th innings with three legitimate, proven closers. Doesn't seem likely, but here's to hoping.

His best in awhile. But he absolutely disappears offensively at times. Suarez is a consistent power bat in the Jays lineup which they very much need. Plus once Varsho is back only so many at-bats in that Lineup.

Suarez is a really unnecessary and clunky addition, given his position and poor defense. If Springer were out all year or something then I would consider him. abola2121 1
