Has Bednar always been this big? I don’t remember him being that fat. But I don’t tune into many Pirates games in recent years for obvious reasons

He’s always looked like the generic dad at his sons baseball game in Wisconsin yes

Explain the Bednar trade to me. I really don't get it at all.

I get that teams value various prospects differently, but we should have been able to beat that.

After the Bednar trade, I'm calling Cherington up immediately if I'm Ross. See what it takes to get Oneil Cruz or something.

My only explanation is they wanted position player prospects and Pinango was either disliked or not available?

Cherington probably hyper focused on a catcher... can't really explain it other than that

I guess Pittsburgh thinks the better C prospect is a 50 FV, top 100 type. I dunno. Dumb.

Mets getting Cedric Mullins

Damn

I'm ok with Mullins being in the NL now.  I'm not sure he was a fit for the Jays so may as well get him somewhere we don't have to see him again.

Cedric Mullins going to the Mets

I thought he costed Jays a couple of wins against his former team just this past series

good get for the Mets

Jake Bird for the Yankees #10 and #28 prospects

At this point we should EXPECT Mr. Atkins to land a good RP for like, Victor Arias or something.

That price on Bird is insane. I think the yankees could turn him into at least a really good long relief and he has control. I f***ing hate that deal. He might even start.

Can we stop trading with cleveland who are known to always get value and do more trades with pittsburgh and colorado?

Our FO is too tight with them for my liking. There's 29 other teams in the league yet it feels like 50% of our trades over the last 5 years are with Cle

I'm not going to hate on Atkins for now because there's still a ton of options out there, but these reliever deals are extremely cheap. There's no excuse not to get something done here.

I'm very happy that so many of these adds are for NL teams

Mets

Padres

Phillies

Its funny because everyone on MLB network keeps parroting that the relief market is extremely expensive. lol

Awfully big contract for Correa. I wouldn't expect the Twins to get much back in return.
