Baez (15), Elisalt (43) and Dohm (45) rank super low on the Mets list at FG. I've never heard of any of them. Both him and Helsley and Duran went for super cheap.

All 3 are at high A - 20, 22, and 23.

They are getting Duran for a single 45 FV prospect that is like 4 years away and their equivalent of Bowden Francis? That's awfully cheap.

It's two Top 100 batters.  I think that's fair.  RPing is fragile and inconsistent.

I believe Abel a pitcher and no longer close to a top 100 guy

Damn I was looking forward to hearing Hells Bells at the Rogers Centre.

Trade Deadline less than 24 hours away but quickly running out of a dance partners.

95 on BA's top 100 (as of early July)

That's quite shocking. Fangraphs isn't too high on him and his performance has been awful. He's got a nice fastball, but I don't see the appeal.

He still looks like a reliever to me.

Fangraphs does this with many prospects, they are generally conservative with their ratings.

Really eh?  I see him sticking as a starter but...you just never know - the league is littered with relievers that were once starters

He's got incredibly poor command so it's just hard for me to see, but I'll defer to the experts.

For what it's worth, neither Tate nor Abel, are in the top 100, but there are 5 Blue Jays including Kal Stephen at 80.

Keep in mind that Fangraphs is basically just one guy (Longenhagen) and he is absurdly over-worked and/or under-staffed. He didn't even get to updating his 2025 Draft board until literally the day of the draft.

Have we gotten the 2015 version's of Price Tulo, Revere and Lowe yet?  Think we got Lowe covered with Dominguez, I'll settle for Price and Tulo clones :)

This is how BA has them:

Baez - #6

Dohm - #25

Elissalt - Unranked

MLB Pipeline:

Baez: #8

Dohm: #14

Elissalt - Unranked

Yeah, if Bieber's stuff looks good in his rehab games that could be the ace we need.

Him and Bednar could be quite the haul for this team.

I feel like if the Jays get Bieber, it will be in a package with Kwan. And then IDK if they do anything more

What is his value with that player option? It's quite a risk to take if he gets hurt again or doesn't perform.

Some of you have the dumbest takes,

Bednar has been one of the best relievers in baseball for 2 straight months now. I'm talking completely wipeout dominant: 1 ER, 11.19 K/9, 1.93 BB/9, 0.39 ERA, 1.38 FIP.

Apart from last season, he has been an elite reliever in 4 of the last 5 seasons...including right now at this very moment.

He was also sent down this season to triple A.
The only relievers i have any interest in paying the type of payment it would take for ones with control is the absolutely uber uber elite. Otherwise just give me a rental. Relievers are not the type of player you want control of.

Jax, i would do. He might start next year and he's has better stuff anyway.

May I ask why? It's not as if they regularly fleece teams.

I said above why basically but i just think control of relievers is drastically overrated.

Joey for Kwan

no brainer for both teams

Bieber + Kwan in a trade would be really interesting. Both players would be a good fit too.

the players at the bottom of the top 100 are pretty much interchangeable with the ones that just missed

Yeah, like 75-125... depends on what you like for buyers. I don't think these returns are cheap for a reliever, honestly. Tyler Rogers was an overpay though. Crikes!

Joey Loperfido, Orelvis Martinez, and Khal Stephen for those two. Who says no?

I wonder what the price on soroka was. He would have been a good get.

The Cubs #14 prospect and an unranked guy. Seems about right.
