Not sure how much of that is his fault at this point since he’s playing like once a week but he’s not a guy you want up there in an important spot. And pinch hitting for Kirk in a tie game was ridiculous. His swing is just terrible. Until he can make an adjustment on the inner half of the plate he’s going to struggle. He has a decent eye but when you can’t hit the ball hard/ hit a ton of grounders and pop ups it’s a recipe for failure. He raked when he went back down to AAA so you’d like to think the talent is there but it’s starting to look like it might not happen with the Jays at least this season. Stangstag 1

This was a straight sac they were giving us the out, then you walk jram and take your chances with Santana Yeah just looks like bad infield positioning here. Have to at least be able to get an out at 1st

The gap in pitching talent from AAA to the majors is probably the biggest its ever been. It's entirely possibly he's a AAAA player. Yes, too soon to make that determination, but its getting more likely by the day. He cant hit low offspeed pitches And cant handle velo... hard to stick into the majors with that profile.

Yeah I just don’t see it with Roden. He doesn’t pass the eye test, and the underlying data supports that. Given his age and profile, I’m not confident he’s going to be any good. If he does end up being good eventually then it probably won’t be in 2025, so either way he shouldn’t be up at this point. Let him mash 89 mph line drives in AAA and then trade him at the deadline.
