Wait am I confused or does it say 100.

You may have looked at just before they finally updated the player pages today. They were slow on it.

Yep - I saw a headline that Schwarber got to 50 HRs and noticed the fangraph page still said 49 this morning - so that's 100% what happened.  Still - a drop off for Teo unfortunately.

With 2 HRs last night, Teo raises his season wRC+ to 94.  It will be interesting to see if he can turn it around next year.  Sad - love me some Teo, but I think there were signs a dropoff could happen in his early 30's.

Holy s*** I was aware his season numbers had taken a nosedive but wasn't aware of the level of prolonged struggles. Heading into last night's game his last 79 games saw a 66 wRC+/-1.2 FWAR. He's literally been MLB's least valuable position player over this period and that's a pretty sad level of decline.

Since his injury issues, he hasn't been the same, a healthy scratch a couple times a week, it's wild.

Probably the most under the radar player in the league (for obvious reasons): Hunter Goodman. Reached 30 HR last night, up to 3.3 WAR on the season. Mediocre but not bad C defense. Rare development win for the Rockies? He's only 25 years old so he essentially makes up the entirety of their core, depending on how you feel about Jordan Beck and Ezequiel Tovar.

Another win for diversity

This is the wrong narrative.

Jen Pawol is a replacement umpire who's filling in for someone.  It makes 100% sense that she's the worst umpire in baseball because she isn't a ML umpire.  She's a AAA umpire who's trying to earn a fulltime role at the ML level.  If she was regularly a Top 5 plate umpire, then that would be a terrible look for the current ML umpires.

Don't let your hatred of wokeness blind you from facts.

Yes I’ve heard this argument

I don’t believe that just because you’re in the minors it’s a given that you will be the least accurate umpire in the majors

Brutal game for Jen Pawol last night. 2.5 runs for one team is the highest I can remember lol.

It's only been 3 games but she has the lowest accuracy of any umpire this year.

Props to MLB for giving Adrian Johnson a chance. A true inspiration to blind people everywhere.

So you want the more accurate umpires (on average) in AAA?  Makes sense.

I believe in her 1st game behind the dish, she was 13th of 15th umpires, so there will be games where she out performs the ML umpires, but over the long run, you'd expect she's near, if not at the bottom of the list.

You should also consider there may be an early adjustment period with nerves and other factors involved for any umpire who's new to the major leagues.

But you're going to do you - so I'll move on.

We could also consider the fact that she wasn’t super deserving of the job and skipped over several others because she’s a woman. Not saying that’s the case, but its definitely a question people will ask if she continues to be this bad.

What manager in baseball is going to have the courage to do the right thing and get ejected after arguing balls and strikes with Jen Pawol?

God knows she's giving these managers ample opportunity but none of them have the balls to do it

Might be the one scenario where Aaron Boone could actually step up
