Jays24 Old-Timey Member Posted October 26, 2024 Posted October 26, 2024 I remember so many people laughing at Stanton and thinking he should have been DFA'd. Probably the same people who wanted to get rid of Vlad for a bag of peanuts lol. Kudos to him to shoving it to all the haters.
glory Old-Timey Member Posted October 26, 2024 Posted October 26, 2024 Wow what a game. Horrendous move by Boone to go with Cortes in that spot.
Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted October 26, 2024 Posted October 26, 2024 Is Hill that much better of an option? Cortes was pretty good this year - but was working his way back from injury. I mean tough decision. I'm not much more confident in Hill going thru that part of the order...

Jaysareus Verified Member Posted October 26, 2024 Posted October 26, 2024 Sotos throwing arm not that impressive
Jaysareus Verified Member Posted October 26, 2024 Posted October 26, 2024 Again they made the mistake of giving Stanton something to hit. He's by far Yankees hottest hitter.
Laika Community Moderator Posted October 26, 2024 Posted October 26, 2024 Again they made the mistake of giving Stanton something to hit. He's by far Yankees hottest hitter. Flaherty hung a curveball by like, four inches. Wasn't even a horrible pitch. It wasn't even in the zone!
L54 Old-Timey Member Posted October 26, 2024 Posted October 26, 2024 Dodgers were lucky Yankees were unlucky
hanton Old-Timey Member Posted October 26, 2024 Posted October 26, 2024 What do you mean? half joking but how Roberts manages his pitchers vs Boone, Roberts always talks about "gut feel" ...etc with regards to his bullpen usage
hanton Old-Timey Member Posted October 26, 2024 Posted October 26, 2024 I wonder if Boone would have still played the match-up with Cortes if he had a better reliever available, that pen is going to be a problem
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted October 26, 2024 Posted October 26, 2024 The play by Edman was incredible. He not only saved a run by gloving it in the first place, but he saved a run by throwing home instead of to 1st (Jazz was going). He's been unbelievable for the Dodgers these playoffs. Definitely a very savvy trade made by the Dodgers at the deadline that doesn't get talked about enough.
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted October 26, 2024 Posted October 26, 2024 It's gonna be tough to top what we saw in Game 1! Can't script it any better. I want to see Ohtani vs. Judge in Game 7.
hanton Old-Timey Member Posted October 26, 2024 Posted October 26, 2024 Definitely a very savvy trade made by the Dodgers at the deadline that doesn't get talked about enough. Same with the Jazz deal - tdl deals that are actually making a difference
hanton Old-Timey Member Posted October 26, 2024 Posted October 26, 2024 both starters will be lucky to get to 5
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted October 27, 2024 Posted October 27, 2024 the bat flip Haha... that's awesome.
Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted October 27, 2024 Posted October 27, 2024 Tommy f***ing Edman. He does it again. Unreal.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted October 27, 2024 Posted October 27, 2024 Tommy f***ing Edman. He does it again. Unreal. Dude's on fire, big acquisition. Insane!
