Rob Manfred has a perma boner now

MLB can lose

It's either the subway world series or Ohtani v Judge

Posted

In all best-of-seven postseason series, teams that have dropped three of the first four contests have come back to win only 14 of 93 times (15%).

Guaranteed Dodgers yanks world series

Soto fine, but Stanton there was 0 reason to throw a hittable pitch.

Im allowed to criticize these players lol what do you think this is, its a f***ing message board for discussing ball.

Get over yourself

I never said you can’t criticize them but you’re acting like you’re on your PS4 picking quadrants and locations

He went 0-2 to Stanton and then threw three pitches trying to get the chase. He wouldn’t bite. Then he hung a breaking ball which obviously wasn’t his intent, but it was a great at bat from Stanton to go from 0-2 to an advantage count

Huge mistake by Gattis up 1-2 on Soto didn't have to throw a hittable pitch.

Yea he hung one that's for sure. it was supposed to be a wasted FB out of the zone and the only FB Soto was going to see

I'm not even sure I'd call it a hanger. It wasn't a cement mixer at all. It just caught too much of the plate. That at bat was f***ing amazing. Major props to Stanton for his ability to layoff pitch after pitch after falling way behind. That was just incredible baseball - an incredible moment.

Man - that game last night was unreal. Yanks had 2 "Joey Bats" moments in the same game. That's the drama, the lead changes, the moments we all want to see in the playoffs.

Im so happy for them. Their fanbase really deserves it after booing Stanton all year and calling for him to be DFAd.

Is that not what a pitcher is trying to do when they pitch?? Trying to pick a location to get the batter out. I think Bibee was a bit too greedy with trying to get Stanton and he clearly missed his spot by a mile. Should have been ok with walking him there, you don’t give him anything to hit with a base open and Jazz coming up who’s been ice cold.

Bro, what he’s saying is they can miss a spot. It’s like, on tv you see a meatball that gets destroyed, are you assuming he threw that meatball on purpose? Like I’m sure they’re trying to not throw Judge anything good and it’s working so far in the PS, but sometimes you’re going to see a meatball to him. As L54 said, it’s not a video game

Pitchers aren’t dumb. Like it’s 0-2 and you’re not smarter than them. They’re not trying to give the guy anything he can hit. They want him to chase. It’s going to come out wrong sometimes

It was a great at bat. Sometimes you have to just tip your cap

Aren’t NHL players trying to score when they shoot? Why don’t NBA players shoot 100% from the line?

I think all pitchers should be taught to throw their pitches where the hitters can’t hit it

That’s… exactly what I said though. That it was a MISTAKE pitch.

God you guys are such *******s sometimes

This isn’t MLB the show

These guys aren’t meaning to hang breakers

The ball Soto hits out was above the zone clearly

Bibee should’ve buried the curve ball in the dirt sure but there’s a difference between a strike to ball out of the hand and a ball the entire way

You’re being extremely critical of the best players in the entire world in extreme pressure environments

Amen.
