Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted July 8, 2024 Posted July 8, 2024 Playoffs will be easy to make. If everything on that list happens the 2025 playoffs will indeed be easy to make

If booze were to suddenly disappear from planet Earth, it might take me years to actually notice if not for this sheer panic and outrage that would ensue.
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted July 9, 2024 Posted July 9, 2024 It's delusional to think the team can make a run at the WC at this point so trading guys like Kikuchi, Yimi, Richards etc just makes sense. I'm not sold on trading a guy like Bo unless someone pays full sticker price, but if that deal comes along...then hell yes. I wouldn't trade Vlad though unless someone overpays. He's too valuable for off-field reasons, and the hope of him eventually pulling his head out of his ass and returning to even a 35+ HR threat is real enough to keep him around. I cant fathom a Springer deal being possible for obvious reasons, but Gausman and Bassit are moveable. Yeah trade guys on expiring contracts. Gausman and Bassitt are moveable, though would prefer keeping them for 2025. Would move Berrios and try to escape that contract if you could more than anything. Wouldn't trade Bo or Vlad unless blown away like you said. Hope they both come up big during their contract years in 2025, which would help the Jays contend or at least improve their trade value. Vlad is too valuable for off-field reasons as well like you said.

Yeah I was hoping for a Bo trade this entire time but he is still sucking ass. I thought he would have gotten hot by now but he hasn't hit a home run since mid May! I'd still troll for offers but at this point it might be better to wait until the offseason or next trade deadline when he his hitting better.

Yeah I don't think it makes sense to trade Bo when his value is this low. Not even sure if Postseason bound teams would want to pay a high price for him at the deadline anyways, given the season he's had. Best for the Jays to either move him in the offseason or at next years trade deadline in hope he builds back up his value.
Arjun Nimmala Vancouver Canadians - A+ SS It's been slow going at the start of the season for Nimmala, but on Sunday, he was 3-for-5 with his 3rd home run and 3 RBI. Explore Arjun Nimmala News >
