This is simply not a good lineup. Sure they'll splurge once in a while but they have be consistency with this lineup . Again 5 through 9 are all 9th hitters

 

The roster is built on pitching with the hope being that the offense can be proficient enough. These guys are never going to out-slug anyone and everyone knows that.

Depth in the bullpen isn't there to try to fight from behind. Until they get healthy in the pen, being down a few runs is basically a white flag game.
