Well at least we didn't fold our tents after being down six runs. There's some grit there if only someone took away the lineup card from John Schneider.

Why is he allowed to run the bases lol.

 

He's a waste of a roster spot if he always has to be pinch ran for late in close games, he takes up two spots in those situations. His bat doesn't even come close to warrant the roster spot. Lukes brings tons more value, it's mind boggling.

Having a fatty on the bench is terrible.

 

With fatties in the starting lineup there's almost no pinch running opportunities. I'm so tired of seeing outs created on the basepaths

Voglebach at the very least with his limited skillset needs to do the little things right, on 2nd with no one behind you and the ball hit in front of you - you need to hold at 2nd until that ball goes through the infield

Promising game all in all, looking at the bright side. Offense clicked a lot more throughout the lineup (save for Varsho and Serven who is f***ing awful), and the relievers gave us almost 7 IP with 3 ER against a tough lineup, can’t be mad at them.

 

Gausman completely s***ing the bed with that velo is unfortunate and concerning. As long as he’s not injured and it’s a case of him working up his strength and just being cold, we’ll survive. Most nights the offense giving us 8 runs with the ace on the mound it’s a win 9/10 times. Get the series win tomorrow and go back home content with a .500 record with the offense heating up.

Can we also talk about how/why John didn’t challenge the clear catcher interference in Varsho’s first ab??

They could have stuck just about any pitcher out there with better results. It would be great if we had we did that with. I remember Stroman used to once in a while.

 

Kikuchi has done it a few times, once in the PS.

Vlad won't change his hitting approach regardless of his lack of production...uh, ok?... shushes the crowd while h8s team is getting beat down... constantly has bats that are about his stats instead of team results (his pitcher has a rough inning, he is out within a pitch or two) No concept if moving runners with zero or one out... constantly swings like he is going to get a 6 run home-run.

 

Maybe he has his dad's talent, but he clearly has grown up a fair weather child. No concept of earning what he has or respecting his teammates that had to fight for what they earned.

 

If he played for another team our fan base would pile on his amateur antics.

Would have rather have seen this team lose 9-2 instead of 9-8 lol. Someone on here mentioned that would happen, I think Stang haha. Joking aside, sucks when they put up 8 runs, Gausman isn't 100%. Would have been easy to pack it in, but glad to have seen some fight from the lineup in the late innings. Hopefully they win the series tomorrow and can go back to Toronto at .500!
