philly30 Verified Member Posted March 17, 2024 Posted March 17, 2024 MLB.TV for $149.99? What else is there ?
Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted March 17, 2024 Author Posted March 17, 2024 What else is there ? Don't know.... cut the cord with Bell last month, trying to figure out the mess of streaming services
Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted March 17, 2024 Author Posted March 17, 2024 With MLB.TV and a VPN would I be able to bypass the Jays blackout, or do I need a USA MLB.TV subscription for that?
Jays24 Old-Timey Member Posted March 17, 2024 Posted March 17, 2024 I have told you guys about IPTV before. I pay 96 bucks with no tax for 12 months so 8 bucks per month. I get every God damn channel in the world practically, including all PPVs, sports leagues, etc. It's not perfect but pretty damn reliable considering the price point.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted March 17, 2024 Posted March 17, 2024 What else is there ? Sportsnet Plus
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted March 17, 2024 Posted March 17, 2024 With MLB.TV and a VPN would I be able to bypass the Jays blackout, or do I need a USA MLB.TV subscription for that? Yes, that works. Or at least used to to. I used to do it Anyone doing it recently??
connorp Old-Timey Member Posted March 17, 2024 Posted March 17, 2024 With MLB.TV and a VPN would I be able to bypass the Jays blackout, or do I need a USA MLB.TV subscription for that? That’s prob a good question about the blackout. You’d think maybe they’d choose to black out your home team, based on the VPN thing. Or maybe they don’t care enough

Carlos Danger Old-Timey Member Posted March 17, 2024 Posted March 17, 2024 I thought if you buy MLB TV prior to the season starting it is a little cheaper?
Jays24 Old-Timey Member Posted March 17, 2024 Posted March 17, 2024 Saw that.... this and MLB.TV might do it for me Just unsure of the reliability of IPTV Ya I also have Bell TV strictly because i can't chance my sports reliability. You definitely need to have strong internet connection in order to make it work. You can also just pay 15 bucks a month to try it out and then pay the yearly fee only if it works for you afterwards.

To be precise, it is a broadband, high speed install.... similar to what is being installed in the USA now, maybe even your area

I run IPTV too and it’s the best. Started like 6 months ago and ruined for a year in February I’ve never had a problem on my phone. Sometimes streaming through the app on my tv is delayed which sucks, but I can find the game on another channel 99% of the time Sucks that somehow TSN has vanished though. Same for you?

Sometimes Sportsnet is a little shaky but if that’s the case you’ll be able to find the game through MLB TV on there I can watch any NHL game no problem, and last year I had no issue with MLB games either

Ya it's been great and clutch for all UFC PPVs, TV Shows and Movies. I should give it another chance for MLB/NBA but Bell basically gave me their Fibe TV for free. And nah... mine still has TSN. Each IPTV service provider differs as they all use their own servers.

Totally better than the other packages. Wish I could dump some of it though. Filipino, Chinese, Arabic and all the Indian just take up space.

The_DH Verified Member Posted March 17, 2024 Posted March 17, 2024 doesn't your interface have settings to hide them? if not try TiviMate IPTV player, it's on the play store No it doesn't. It allows filtering in general though, but I would just rather keep the 10 or so settings that are more relevant and wipe out the other 30+.

Its good for the price but tends to have a lot of issues with freezing/lag/bufferingz I’ve never been able to find one that works as smoothly as regular cable
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted March 17, 2024 Posted March 17, 2024 Saw that.... this and MLB.TV might do it for me Just unsure of the reliability of IPTV The one I have used to be good, now freezes a lot plus everything is like 1-2 minutes delayed so i’d never use it for playoff games. Most of these iptv things turn to s*** once they start signing up too many people for the service to handle

wilko Old-Timey Member Posted March 18, 2024 Posted March 18, 2024 Just need a specific internet service speed though?? The faster the better. I'd say you'd need at least 50MB connection. If you have more than one person using in it on the same network, you'll need good internet as well. I've been using IPTV for the past 2 years with very minimal issues/down time.

Year and a half for me. Been down once or twice, but not long. Yes, there is some buffering that happens from time to time, but considering I have 22,000+ channels (all MLB, NFL, NBA, NHL, Soccer anywhere in the world, every streaming platform that exists, PPV, any movie or TV show I'd ever want to watch (as soon as it gets to VOD, I can watch) at basically 1/20th the price, I'll live with a bit of buffering here and there and a 1 minute delay.
Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted March 18, 2024 Posted March 18, 2024 If I have 3 kids using the internet non-stop - I assume these IPTV set ups won't work the best for me?
