DigitalRock Old-Timey Member Posted October 3, 2023 Posted October 3, 2023 I wouldn't take Gausman out now Schneider takes him out when he finds his grove. Typical JS
Grant77 Old-Timey Member Posted October 3, 2023 Posted October 3, 2023 Don't be fooled by the errors. That's FOUR free outs they have handed us. The Springer foul ball to Kepler, the Springer grounder to Polanco, the Kiermaier grounder to Polanco, and the Chapman grounder to Julien. We MUST take advantage.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted October 3, 2023 Posted October 3, 2023 Need Springer so bad right now

Jaysareus Verified Member Posted October 3, 2023 Posted October 3, 2023 Schneiders decisions killed the jays in playoffs last year same this year.
Delgalladay Verified Member Posted October 3, 2023 Posted October 3, 2023 I don’t know why I was holding out hope this offense would somehow get hot. Same old same old.

Nah, we’ll wait till the 9th inning to mount a rally and fall 1 run short
Scion Verified Member Posted October 3, 2023 Posted October 3, 2023 I fully expect this team to get shutout tonight. It's completely on brand with what they have done all season.
DigitalRock Old-Timey Member Posted October 3, 2023 Posted October 3, 2023 Stranding runners should be the 2023 team motto
BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted October 3, 2023 Posted October 3, 2023 Bo needs to lose weight ....like that comment above LOL Not sure whats up with him but his sprint speed was in the 80s and over the seasons pretty steadily declined to 42nd percentile now.

connorp Old-Timey Member Posted October 3, 2023 Posted October 3, 2023 Yeah so it’s clear you don’t ever watch Gausman pitch It’s the playoffs. I’m sure there’s emphasis about working counts and early on Gausman was putting pitches in the dirt and all over
Grant77 Old-Timey Member Posted October 3, 2023 Posted October 3, 2023 They say defense wins championships, but it sure isn't playing out that way so far.
Scion Verified Member Posted October 3, 2023 Posted October 3, 2023 Stranding runners should be the 2023 team motto The lack of home run power exacerbates the issue.
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted October 3, 2023 Posted October 3, 2023 Stranding runners should be the 2023 team motto How bout "RISP is not a skill"

Scion Verified Member Posted October 3, 2023 Posted October 3, 2023 They say defense wins championships, but it sure isn't playing out that way so far. Elite teams win Championships. The Jays are not that so we have to hope they get super hot.
glory Old-Timey Member Posted October 3, 2023 Posted October 3, 2023 The Jays don't hit home runs. The hitters can't pull anything. They need to string together 3-4 hits to come back in this game and that's just not a realistic approach in the playoffs against good pitching.
hanton Old-Timey Member Posted October 3, 2023 Posted October 3, 2023 Gausman is your stud workhorse, 73 pitches SMH
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted October 3, 2023 Posted October 3, 2023 I haven't seen anyone melting down including myself. Comments are mostly about Gausman tipping against twins, which both A-Rod and Buck Martinez are also talking about (Buck has been talking about this since 2022) And second another baserunning out, which is fair to be frustrated about since it has happened so much this year. Wait for it. If the Jays lose...
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted October 3, 2023 Posted October 3, 2023 Dumb move pulling gausman Maybe maybe not, might be planning on an inning or 2 in Game 3 if we make it there
Jays24 Old-Timey Member Posted October 3, 2023 Posted October 3, 2023 How bout "RISP is not a skill" Only stat nerds who have never played a sport in their life would believe that lol.
Omar Old-Timey Member Posted October 3, 2023 Posted October 3, 2023 Schneiders thinking is he doesn't want Gausman to face Lewis again. Down three we're still in the game. Down four or more can be unreachable. Agree or not, that is his thinking.
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted October 3, 2023 Posted October 3, 2023 That's what he always does and is a Cy Young candidate, numbnuts. These people don’t watch Gausman normally, you can tell. He almost NEVER throws the splitter for a strike and everyone swings at it
glory Old-Timey Member Posted October 3, 2023 Posted October 3, 2023 A-Rod saying they've already swung and missed more on Swanson's split than Gausman's.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted October 3, 2023 Posted October 3, 2023 Gausman is your stud workhorse, 73 pitches SMH Pulled after striking out the side
