Cynical Verified Member Posted October 3, 2023 Posted October 3, 2023 First time the Twins have looked confused on what Gausman is throwing.
DigitalRock Old-Timey Member Posted October 3, 2023 Posted October 3, 2023 Didn’t it look like he blocked the plate? Maybe not
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted October 3, 2023 Author Posted October 3, 2023 A couple of fastballs at the bottom of the zone and a couple of competitive splitters and he's starting to get some swings Indeed.
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted October 3, 2023 Posted October 3, 2023 A couple of fastballs at the bottom of the zone and a couple of competitive splitters and he's starting to get some swings Should start that way every game until teams adjust
Grant77 Old-Timey Member Posted October 3, 2023 Posted October 3, 2023 Splitters in the zone and sliders are working. The aren't even thinking of offering at the split. The adjustment is a little late, unfortunately.
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted October 3, 2023 Posted October 3, 2023 Good adjustments by Gausman throwing the Splitter up more now
connorp Old-Timey Member Posted October 3, 2023 Posted October 3, 2023 A couple of fastballs at the bottom of the zone and a couple of competitive splitters and he's starting to get some swings Exactly
jaysthebest Verified Member Posted October 3, 2023 Posted October 3, 2023 This team has so many low-IQ guys on the roster lol.
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted October 3, 2023 Posted October 3, 2023 Would have been bases loaded with Chapman up. Bo you fucming idiot. Every playoff series, he has been responsible for major f*** ups. - error after error vs Tampa - injuring Springer when he had no business diving for that ball vs seattle - now this Also almost collided with Varsho again today. He doesn’t seem to learn
connorp Old-Timey Member Posted October 3, 2023 Posted October 3, 2023 Good adjustments by Gausman throwing the Splitter up more now So it’s suddenly not a fix anymore?
Masterbather Verified Member Posted October 3, 2023 Posted October 3, 2023 Splitters in the zone and sliders are working. The aren't even thinking of offering at the split. The adjustment is a little late, unfortunately. They are offering at them. He just didn't do enough early in the game to entice them to.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted October 3, 2023 Posted October 3, 2023 Well I finally got to get infront of a TV and Gausman struck out the side so hopefully a change of tune.
bones10 Old-Timey Member Posted October 3, 2023 Posted October 3, 2023 Lololololololol tipping bro. f***ing stupid narrative, they had a game plan, eliminate the splitter completely until he throws it for strikes consistently, he never did that until that inning l.
Fastball21 Verified Member Posted October 3, 2023 Posted October 3, 2023 Ok that's better, now lets get some runs!!!
Jays24 Old-Timey Member Posted October 3, 2023 Posted October 3, 2023 This team has so many low-IQ guys on the roster lol. Management thought they were getting rid of all of them with Teo and Gurriel but little did they know that it's the entire roster.

Every playoff series, he has been responsible for major f*** ups. - error after error vs Tampa - injuring Springer when he had no business diving for that ball vs seattle - now this Chapman is the strike out king of the Jays
DigitalRock Old-Timey Member Posted October 3, 2023 Posted October 3, 2023 Not capitalizing at all so far Story of the season in one sentence
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted October 3, 2023 Posted October 3, 2023 Well I finally got to get infront of a TV and Gausman struck out the side so hopefully a change of tune. Hopefully you arrived in time to save us
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted October 3, 2023 Posted October 3, 2023 Splitters in the zone and sliders are working. The aren't even thinking of offering at the split. The adjustment is a little late, unfortunately. Not too late if the offense does something
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted October 3, 2023 Posted October 3, 2023 Should start that way every game until teams adjust Probably yeah. But a lot of guys just swing at the splitter regardless. Even way out of the zone. A lot of you guys clearly don’t watch the majority of Gaus starts
Olerud363 Old-Timey Member Posted October 3, 2023 Posted October 3, 2023 Tuned in just in time. Knew this would be prime board meltdown material I haven't seen anyone melting down including myself. Comments are mostly about Gausman tipping against twins, which both A-Rod and Buck Martinez are also talking about (Buck has been talking about this since 2022) And second another baserunning out, which is fair to be frustrated about since it has happened so much this year.
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted October 3, 2023 Posted October 3, 2023 I’d let Gausman go 1 more, he looked way better last inning
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted October 3, 2023 Posted October 3, 2023 Hopefully you arrived in time to save us All I have watched is 3 Gausman strikeouts lol. And now a leadoff single by Chapman.
Jays24 Old-Timey Member Posted October 3, 2023 Posted October 3, 2023 Are they really taking out Gausman after striking out the side? Are you f***ing kidding me? This management has 0 feel for games man.
Jaysareus Verified Member Posted October 3, 2023 Posted October 3, 2023 I would have kept gaismnan in for at least another inning
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted October 3, 2023 Posted October 3, 2023 I wouldn't take Gausman out now
Fastball21 Verified Member Posted October 3, 2023 Posted October 3, 2023 What? Gausman starts throwing good and they're going to pull him?
hanton Old-Timey Member Posted October 3, 2023 Posted October 3, 2023 Bo needs to lose weight ....like that comment above LOL
DigitalRock Old-Timey Member Posted October 3, 2023 Posted October 3, 2023 Good adjustments by Gausman throwing the Splitter up more now So maybe the twins had a good game plan and Gausman just struggled early?
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted October 3, 2023 Posted October 3, 2023 So it’s suddenly not a fix anymore? Yeah so it’s clear you don’t ever watch Gausman pitch
