Both KK and Varsho make that catch that allowed Biggio to score. Just sayin'.

KK for sure, this is not a good Red Sox team, it's basically 3 players - devers, turner, verdugo and a few good arms

Imagine if Boston had kept Betts and Bogaerts? Devers, Betts, Bogaerts back to back to back. Oh well.:P

Isn't this the same as MLB's gameday? I thought they're operated by the same entity.

It’s not unfortunately. The Gameday zone matches the zone we see on TV, but not the Statcast zone. It’s one of the things that MLB wants to iron out before they ever bring the ABS to the majors, they want to be sure the zone we see on TV for any broadcast is the same one as Statcast uses

Perfect weekend for the standings!

I would’ve been so pissed if they caught that lol. 2 wins thanks to the subpar OF defense of the sox

From everything I hear, he is a fantastic teammate. Highly respected by everyone.

I heard the same from an executive. Vladdy not so much.

Listened with my son on radio on way back from his ball practice. Yelling and high fiving driving almost going off the road.

The agony of Devers (man he is good) to Biggio and Chappy walking it off.

Just watched highlights. Chappy could have been rung up on the check the pitch before his hit. Yikes!

Way to go Jays! Digging deep at the right time.

Getting swept by the Rangers and by Sunday evening being in the 2nd WC spot is some turnaround. This season has been frustrating and intense. Just find a way to get in.

Baseball is crazy. Jays get swept by Texas, then gain 3 games the next series on them lol

2 absolute insane probabilities in a row. (Jays getting swept by Texas, then Jays sweeping their next series and Texas getting swept)

Would be looking alot comfier if we could’ve just split with Texas. Its gonna be tight the whole way til the end.

I popped in on Steve Simmons Twitter account to see what he had to say after the Jays moved back into a playoff spot mere days after he declared them dead in the Sun, complete crickets...

The Texas sweep was never the death of us, however I do think we needed to win at least one of those games, when it's all said and done, not winning one might be what kills us. I think the last couple of weeks are going to be a matter of who stumbles worse: Jays or Mariners.

What a series by the Jays! They definitely needed that after the Texas series!

This team is going to have a tough time closing out close scoring games like 2-0, 2-1 etc. from the 5th inning on. A lot of pressure is put both on the rotation and bullpen. It's like they almost have to be perfect every time out. This lineup just needs to score 4 to 5 runs per game.

It depends on the context

For the rest of the regular season when/if they have to use Richards, Garcia, Green, and Cabrera - yeah that group is not pitching great.

Since August 1st:

Richards 12.75 ERA

Cabrera 5.46 xFIP 4.70 FIP

Green 7.36 ERA 4.34 xFIP

Garcia has not been bad (3.45 ERA) but he is not a shut down reliever of course

But if they can avoid those guys... like in a playoff game... they might be comfortable. Since August 1st:

Romano 1.38 ERA

Mayza 1.32 ERA

Francis 1.31 ERA

Swanson 1.38 ERA

Hicks 2.50 ERA

Green had a tough debut. He is going to be fine.

Yeah probably

But he also gave up runs in three consecutive appearances recently

He's iffy!

I like Green as well, has the experience pitching in high leverage situations, his velo is back to what it was a few years ago. He's trending up

They demoted Francis for Pearson recently.

He was so dominant yesterday. Looked like peak Chad Green.
