F this cursed season

Eh, Tiedemann is looking like a bust unfortunately. Gonna follow a similar career path to Nate Pearson

F this cursed season

At this point the Jays are clearly doing something horribly wrong in the pitching development of minor leaguers. Everyone has been hurt or is hurt

Mark it as GM miss. RT was a trade at peak guy all day

True, prospects are so fickle. Even Wyatt Langford, the supposed surefire prospect isn’t looking too hot.

For every Gunnar Henderson, there’s 30 Jo Adells.

Pitching overhand is wrong.

Henderson was a 2nd round pick though?

Langford's turned it around big time man...like a 150 wRC+ in June/July

And Mike Trout was a late 1st. What does that have to do with their prospect ranking that he was referencing? Anything?

Garcia, Tiedemann, Macko, Varsho and Bo all in one day

Awesome

Green hasn't pitched in 4 days either after going in back to back games, I wouldn't be surprised if he's hurting now too.

Last in ALE, this offseason # of Jays prospects on top 100 lists = 0

What good is a billion $$ stadium renovation if it sits almost empty

Vlad and Bo gonna look around.... "f*** this"

Dark days are coming

Trade Vlad et al ASAP, accelerate the tank

Rogers won't allow it...just like the didn't allow Shapiro to blow it up after the 2015 and 2016 runs yet everyone knew the team was old and a sharp decline was imminent. Rogers is trying to sell seats to the casual pigeon fans that don't know any better to pay for the renos. The mandate will be to create the illusion of a competitive baseball team for as long as they can...will be what the new GM is told as well...until the dumb fans realize what they're watching, then they'll be given the green light...probably another year at least of this nonsense (I don't consider dumping expiring contracts as blowing it up as rebuilding).

Ya maybe. Losing Bo and Vlad for nothing will suck. Very Rox-esque.

I will so that so far, Leo Jimenez passes the eye test. I don't know if he'll develop into a starter, but he looks like a guy who will stick on this team for years to come in some role.

Bo can't wait to get out...

second time this season that Bo has done this - talked to out of town reporters about playing there or getting traded generally.

the sheer arrogance of it while the dude has a .596 OPS

Any chance he's pulling a Vince Carter and really not giving it 100% in order to force his way out? I know no one wants to believe a professional would do that but let's not be naive....we've seen how willing players are to cheat if they think they can get away with it...this isn't that far of a stretch.

I'm certainly getting the vibe that he knows this is a lost season for the Jays and thus he may not have the same passion/work ethic/fight in him that he's shown in previous years. Is it because he wants out, or because he's just frustrated with his own performance and/or the teams performance to date? Who knows. Bo has always been known as a professional who puts in a ton of work though - I'm not sure he wants to change that image into 2004/05 Vince Carter, which was f***ing pathetic.

If he gets traded and ends up all of a sudden going on a tear with his new team, you definitely know something is up.

I don't think he plays like this during a contract year. Maybe wanted to get traded dating back from last season and decided to not giving his 100% this season to try and force his way out.

Ya. Who knows what kind of conversations happened behind closed doors. Maybe Bo asked for a trade and the team either said No or are dragging their feet so he sees this as a way to force their hand.

Or it might just be that he's absolutely horr-f***ing-endous this season and nothing more to it than that. Although he's never been terrible like this before, and he's never actively been talking trade like this before either...that's different.

Perhaps the Jays made him an offer before the season and he was insulted by it? Don't think he is actively trying not to perform but his body language on the field and especially at the plate is one of apathy.

Part of management is to keep your human resources interested and involved. Yet another failure of the Shapiro regime.

I think that's a bit unfair. There's probably a good possibility that Bo's body language is a direct result of his own s***** performance this year. Bo is an extremely hard worker and likely expects a lot out of himself. The team could be very well doing everything in their power to help Bo break out of his slump, but those efforts could be blocked by Bo's own internal demons.

If Bo has requested a trade or was upset at an extension offer or something else that would be disappointing and a reflection of someone who's unable to remain professional. Could the team have gotten different results with a different approach to those discussions? Maybe - but maybe not. I don't see the point in suggesting this was "another failure by the Shapiro regime" when you know almost nothing about this situation.

Yeah thanks for killing your own trade value right when they need to trade you.
