He looked good in the 2nd inning.

 

Imagine where this team would be without Kikuchi this season. He's really stepped up and has been a huge piece to the rotation. I know he sucked a lot last year but kudos to Atkins. Hope we get this Kikuchi again in 2024!

 

We all didn't see this regression from either him or Manoah, nutz! Thankfully it happened.

I think most OTB predicted a step back for Manoah, but I don't know anyone who predicted the dumpster fire he has been.

 

I predicted a step back from him, like a high 3 or low 4 ERA. I think I even predicted Berrios was going to have a higher WAR than Manoah and some probably thought I was nuts.

 

Didn't anticipate he would have been this bad though.

The bullpen has been really solid but tough closing out a 2-1 game starting from the 6th inning.

I think most people predicted all of that. Manoah obviously was not as good as his ERA made him look last year, he was going to have come back some and Berrios was clearly better than whatever happened last year. Certainly nobody expected a complete collapse from Manoah.
