Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted August 20, 2023 Posted August 20, 2023 This park is what people think rogers centre is lol Jays playing in Cincinatti would be the #1 offense in baseball. No more warning track shots
Omar Old-Timey Member Posted August 20, 2023 Posted August 20, 2023 Are the Reds testing to punish Greene? Why the f*** was he in the game so long lol. It's all part of stretching him out after injury. They waved the white flag two homeruns ago.
Omar Old-Timey Member Posted August 20, 2023 Posted August 20, 2023 This park is what people think rogers centre is lol The curse of the TD patch isn't effective in Cinci.
JFD Old-Timey Member Posted August 20, 2023 Posted August 20, 2023 Bo's gonna get a few more ABs the way things are going. Cycle please
Masterbather Verified Member Posted August 20, 2023 Posted August 20, 2023 Merciless for Schneider to upgrade our offense in a 9 to 2 game.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted August 20, 2023 Posted August 20, 2023 Good day to strech out Ryu. 100-110 pitches minimum.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted August 20, 2023 Posted August 20, 2023 Ryu looks great. Let's hope Vladdy, Kirk and Manoah follow suit and shape up this winter.
BlueJays Verified Member Posted August 20, 2023 Posted August 20, 2023 Good day to strech out Ryu. 100-110 pitches minimum. Schneider: Not on my watch.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted August 20, 2023 Posted August 20, 2023 Schneider: Not on my watch. He will use 5 or 6 relievers today and use the off day tomorrow to justify it. Even though relievers getting multiple days off is beneficial. Especially when a lot of them will see tons of work in Baltimore.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted August 20, 2023 Posted August 20, 2023 Ryu carving them up. His command looks great.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted August 20, 2023 Posted August 20, 2023 Yup minimum of 4 relievers getting used. FFS.

gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted August 20, 2023 Posted August 20, 2023 Should Clement not replace Espinal's role at this point? Clement is a 27 year old utility man who is destroying AAA this season. 3/4 with a HR today and is now hitting .361/.995. What else does he have to do?
jaysthebest Verified Member Posted August 20, 2023 Posted August 20, 2023 Chapman's batting is painful to watch.
jaysguy44 Old-Timey Member Posted August 20, 2023 Posted August 20, 2023 Chappy needs to figure it out
jaysguy44 Old-Timey Member Posted August 20, 2023 Posted August 20, 2023 Yup minimum of 4 relievers getting used. FFS. And? Day off tomorrow
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted August 20, 2023 Posted August 20, 2023 Ryu was only at 83 pitches. Why not one more?
WryNGinger Verified Member Posted August 20, 2023 Posted August 20, 2023 f***ing Schneider...83 pitches and he was still cruising...
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted August 20, 2023 Posted August 20, 2023 Chapman's batting is painful to watch. Chappy needs to figure it out Maybe a day or two off and give Schneider a few starts. Being Chapman is in a contract year, Ross wouldn't dare take potential bread off his table.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted August 20, 2023 Posted August 20, 2023 And? Day off tomorrow Why does that matter? Relievers would benefit from more rest. They pitch today and what if they need to pitch in the first 2 games in Baltimore. All of a sudden you have pitched 3 out of the past 4 days. It all adds up. When your pitcher is efficient and fresh you let him go. No excuses.
hanton Old-Timey Member Posted August 20, 2023 Posted August 20, 2023 Ryu was only at 83 pitches. Why not one more? something has to be said for letting a pitcher go / finish what he started - as deep into the game as possible. but know Schneider with paper and pen in hand I'm sure couldn't wait to pull him
philly30 Verified Member Posted August 20, 2023 Posted August 20, 2023 f***ing Schneider...83 pitches and he was still cruising... All these managers are the same now, even so called old school guys take pitchers out, probably a directive from the analytics departments
Pendleton Old-Timey Member Posted August 20, 2023 Posted August 20, 2023 All these managers are the same now, even so called old school guys take pitchers out, probably a directive from the analytics departments Yeah I think those pitch count/load management ideas come from further up the ladder.
glory Old-Timey Member Posted August 20, 2023 Posted August 20, 2023 f***ing Schneider...83 pitches and he was still cruising... If he was 83 pitches in the 3rd inning and struggling, he would have been kept in. That’s just how Schneider is. Get to 5-6 innings and then he can have his little wet dream of using his entire bullpen the rest of the way.

The most impressive thing about Clement is his 4.4 K% which is one of the best rates in the minors. If he is reliable at SS I would 100% bring him up.
