How is this team supposed to get anywhere in the playoffs with an offense that can't produce in high pressure situations this continually...

Idk what happened since the first few weeks of the season, but the sac flies have pretty much completely vanished. Just cashing some sac flies would have won us a couple more games.

Mariners are right on our heels and they have a pretty cake schedule coming up. Might actually have to cheer for the Orioles.

The Mariners also own the tiebreaker due to divisional record, so the Jays have to finish ahead of them while the Mariners just to have tie.

I don’t like the Jays chances here. The offense is ass cheeks. The Mariners don’t look that much better on paper so it could go either way but the schedule and the tie breaker is a killer.

Blue Jays 523 runs

Mariners (worse offense ever shittiest team ever) = 519 runs 1.5 games back of Blue Jays

What will Grant do when the Mariners not only take the Blue Jays playoff spot but outscore them?

Will Grant whach the Mariners do their big circle celebration late September? Teo holding hand with Julio Rodriquez as Mariner fans buy their playoff tickets, while Jays fans post on reddit as to how to get refund for $200 bucks (not to mention comitting for season tickets for the next s***** year) they spent already on games that will be played in Seattle?

Jays schedule is probably easier. We are still the favorites but they could pull it off.

The Mariners have a tough September schedule.

I hope the Mariners catch up with the Jays. That's the only way this team fires the hitting coach.

If we miss this will go way deeper than firing the hitting coach

40% of the Mariners remaining schedule is against the Royals, A's, White Sox, and Mets.

The Jays have one "easy" stretch from the 25th to September 10th, and I put easy in quotes because they just split with the Guardians and got shut down by the corpse of Noah Syndergaard so I'm not sure what is easy anymore. After that, they end the season with 4 against the Rangers and 15 against the AL East (Red Sox, Yankees, Rays). The Yankees and Red Sox might be done by then, so maybe they'll be easier to play against.

I don't know. Could go either way. The M's offense might be just as bad as the Jays, and they have a good rotation and pen. They are scary similar. Probably flip a coin on this one.

Our OPS with risp is 28th in the league. Just pathetic.

I don't give a s*** whether it's just luck or skill. They have to improve the risp or otherwise, we are in a trouble.

Outhit them 19-8 in the two games we lost. This series should have been a sweep.

6 of their hits were doubles compared to 3 for the slap hitting Jays..

Well you can't list off the Royals, A's, White Sox and Mets as easy for the Mariners and then say that the Nats, Rockies, A's and Royals stretch is "easy" for the Jays but you're not so sure. They are literally the 4 worst teams in baseball.

It’s easy for the Jays. I’m just taking a shot at them for getting shut down by a washed Thor.

Unlikely but we could catch the Rays

I want to love this team so badly, however this may be the most unlikable team in decades. Even the s***** teams of a decade ago were more likeable than this s***.

The problem is their “top” players are incredibly unlikable. The vets who I enjoy watching are gone after this season

I really feel like if Vlad was just a good player still (not even a great player) the team would be so much more watchable and enjoyable.

All the talent in the world handed to him. Talent got him to the bigs but the absolute lack of motivation and discipline has rendered him average
