The only silver lining about Romano is its a back thing and not an arm thing. But he might have to take some time to rest it. If that means a DL stint you do it. Can't afford to go 2 relievers short when you factor in Mitch White occupying and stealing a spot of an actual Major League picture currently.

 

There's a dominant late inning reliever on the market. He's a rental but he would be a hell of a rental. And ultimate insurance for Romano. Chad Green is a nice. But he's no Josh Hader.

I think he's going to be cemented there for awhile. Atleast while he's hot. Springer will have to get hot before he climbs the lineup again at the minimum. Wouldn't surprise me if he hits behind Chapman tomorrow.

Find an available reliever with at least an additional year of control left, and that’s a far more likely target for Atkins than Hader. That applies to all the trade targets most likely. He doesn’t like trading for rentals. Maybe he goes after Hernandez from the Royals or something like that. There was talk he could be moved.
