Captain_Obvious Verified Member Posted July 29, 2023 Posted July 29, 2023 Should have removed him before the Renfroe AB. It was obvious he was struggling with command at that point. Nothing is obvious to Schneider.
glory Old-Timey Member Posted July 29, 2023 Posted July 29, 2023 Man just saw the Bichette running mistake, that could be very costly. Angels basically handed them a run and they didn't take it.
Jays24 Old-Timey Member Posted July 29, 2023 Posted July 29, 2023 Looking at the leaderboard (minimum 350 PA), Varsho's wRC+ heading into tonight (74) was the 3rd worst in baseball. I think he can catch Myles Straw (71), but not sure about Javy Baez (61). Gonna be a tough trade to comeback from. Atkins shat the bed hard on that one and most said that as soon as the trade was announced.
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted July 29, 2023 Posted July 29, 2023 Hopefully Swanson gets a K…double play…IF fly….anything
Captain_Obvious Verified Member Posted July 29, 2023 Posted July 29, 2023 Can’t wait for all the “Schneider sucks at bullpen management” guys to show up and say he should have been pulled earlier, whilst last week arguing that he should have been left in because he’s the ace, gotta ride him. Are you f***ing serious? Most of his pitches to the previous two batters are balls and he is already close to 100 pitches and you think he should be left in?

He really believed that the Varsho trade is a genius move by Atkins which would make small minded Carlos a genius as well.
DigitalRock Old-Timey Member Posted July 29, 2023 Posted July 29, 2023 Chappy yelling at the manager in the dug out not a good sign lol
DigitalRock Old-Timey Member Posted July 29, 2023 Posted July 29, 2023 Unreal how bad Varsho has been with the bat.
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted July 29, 2023 Posted July 29, 2023 Nice. I don’t think I could take it if a guy with the last name of “Cabbage” did damage

I’m waiting for the daily bullpen critics to come out of the woodwork and show their irrational whining The pull was 100% valid
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted July 29, 2023 Posted July 29, 2023 Attaboy Swanson. Way to pick him up!

Schneider has a habit of not knowing the right time to go to the BP.
WryNGinger Verified Member Posted July 29, 2023 Posted July 29, 2023 Nice to see Schneider's master plan worked to perfection like everyone thought it would.
Jays24 Old-Timey Member Posted July 29, 2023 Posted July 29, 2023 That was f***ing amazing Swanson!!!
Omar Old-Timey Member Posted July 29, 2023 Posted July 29, 2023 That clanging sound you hear are Swansons balls as he walks back to the dugout.
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted July 29, 2023 Posted July 29, 2023 It was 1 batter too late. Schneider has a habit of not knowing the right time to go to the BP. Last week they were all arguing you have to stay with Gausman even if he’s struggling. he’s the ace. What’s different this week?
BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted July 29, 2023 Posted July 29, 2023 Gobsmacked. That was a beautiful job by Swanson. If that was the Jays offense we would all be livid lol
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted July 29, 2023 Posted July 29, 2023 That was awesome, all kinds of awesome from Swanson, no other way to put it.

What’s different this week? I don't know what that argument was about. The recent example of stupidity that comes to mind is when he pulled Kikuchi early against Seattle when he was at 78 pitches. That decision alone probably cost us 2 wins.
Kordesi Verified Member Posted July 29, 2023 Posted July 29, 2023 Spanky and Omar - how do you manage to stay cool with all the doomers on this board? It’s so depressing at times
Arjun Nimmala Vancouver Canadians - A+ SS It's been slow going at the start of the season for Nimmala, but on Sunday, he was 3-for-5 with his 3rd home run and 3 RBI. Explore Arjun Nimmala News >
