bigshot84 Verified Member Posted June 24, 2023 Posted June 24, 2023 he is really good manager he made texas to the strongest team now which other managers couldnt do it when I heard Texas hired him as manager I was like ‘Blue jays should have done this’ In fact , John is not good enough as Bruce in order to Blue Jays to fly more, we need manager like Bruce Bochy

But does he really look like the type of guy that would choose Toronto over Texas? What we should do is bring Gibby back. Will never happen as long as Atkins is around though.
Eat My Shatkins Verified Member Posted June 25, 2023 Posted June 25, 2023 Is Schneider really costing the Jays a significant amount of wins? Honest question. I don't think it's his fault that Vlad, Kirk and Manoah are all fatties that are falling off a cliff career wise, and have cost the Jays probably 4-5 wins already.

Marew Verified Member Posted November 2, 2023 Posted November 2, 2023 Bruce B is actually born out of France. I could see him managing a Quebec team but it’s well known the rest of Canada doesn’t really get along with French speakers, or really it’s the other way around. They choose not to get along with us. So bruce can go f*** him self as far as I’m concerned
JaysAllMighty Old-Timey Member Posted November 2, 2023 Posted November 2, 2023 Disappointed in JS, just a puppet lacking balls
L54 Old-Timey Member Posted November 2, 2023 Posted November 2, 2023 I support Bruce B giving the middle finger to Quebec as reported

I mean, you could put a MAGA hat and a pair of camo pants on him and he would definitely fit in with a January 6th crowd, style wise. See, Gibbons is special because he is clearly a tough and short-fused redneck but at the same time gives off zero MAGA vibes. Perfect fit for Toronto over Texas.

If we are talking a practice what you preach approach, JS isn't out of place pigging out at the buffet with those three guys.
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted November 5, 2023 Posted November 5, 2023 Bring back Cito Gaston. He'll teach these hitters to pull the ball and will play veterans over young bats!

Well yeah but Schneider doesn't have options. It's Toronto or nothing. Apparently Gibbons doesn't have many options either. Bochy could basically pick where he manages and it ain't ever going to be TO.
Marew Verified Member Posted November 7, 2023 Posted November 7, 2023 I support Bruce B giving the middle finger to Quebec as reported We never said B bochy gave Quebec middle finger. Just that he is on the side. Because he is French. Doesn’t bode well for me after finding out Bruce B was French. It’s not racist that I don’t like them. They are just arrogant and have this stupid look to them, like an inbreeding thing.

James Key Verified Member Posted November 7, 2023 Posted November 7, 2023 I think the mentality of hiring first time coaches for big time payrolls isn’t a sound one. Thus, hiring bochy would have been a significantly smarter move for this team. Who knows maybe it’s us standing atop the mountain this year. I give Daniel’s credit for the moves he made in Texas and bochy was another shrewd one.

In my view the 2023 Blue Jays failed because half of the lineup simultaneously experienced down years at the plate. It would have made no difference whatsoever if there were a different manager in place.

James Key Verified Member Posted November 8, 2023 Posted November 8, 2023 Oh yeah my mistake. It was Chris young. And regarding players imploding and it not being the mangers fault I will just agree to disagree. Thanks for the replies though.

Marew Verified Member Posted November 8, 2023 Posted November 8, 2023 Been to paris once when I was 15, the country is nice looking as long as you don’t get reamed out for not speaking perfect French. Don’t know a single person in school who made an effort to learn that language. Spanish would have been useful.
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted November 8, 2023 Posted November 8, 2023 The people in Paris are so damn rude it’s actually entertaining.

Marew Verified Member Posted November 8, 2023 Posted November 8, 2023 France seems to have gotten a bad reputation. I have British step parents and I figured they got a lot of hate for giving up in ww2, but I guess it’s all justified. Worse reputation than american tourists.
