Yeah remember that, I think it was at Yankee Stadium. The home plate ump immediately called for the tarp as soon as it happened.

Has to be the low point of the season. Soft part of the schedule starts finally. The numbers people will tell you Marlins should be below .500 and the Jays should have a better record. Sure as f*** didn't look like it today.

Wonder why the offense tanked. Bo has sucked worse than Vlad that you all want to go to the minors lmao

 

Chapman also deciding to retire after April hasn't helped lol

But Bo wasn't an 80 hit tool greatest hitting prospect, 19 year old hitting .400 at double a.... Bo didn't set the 22 year old homerun record.

 

He killed the low minors, was a .280 or so hitter in the high minors and has absolutely met expectations and his having a very normal aging curve getting slightly better every year.

 

Vlad has fallen apart compared to minor league stats (which were in greatest ever terroritoy) and his historic age 22 season.

 

We expect way more from Vlad, which is why everyone is so dissapointed watching him in a close battle with Triston Casas in the failed prospect fourth tier first basemen WAR race.

Nobody expects or think Vladdy will have those numbers. But he is on pace for maybe 25 HR, and a .275 average with around 2 WAR. This is more or less the player he has been in the majors with the exception of 1 season. The sample size is not small anymore and no matter how you spin it thats average. Very very average.
