The last time the Yankees won a series was at the end of June against the A’s.

Yankees announcers always have some sort of cockiness that always irritates me.

When you have a team that’s hasn’t had a sub .500 record since 1992, and only missed the playoffs 4 times since 1995, winning the division 14 times since 1994…. it would be very difficult to not have some kind of that though.

Congratulations to the Baltimore Orioles

In 2016 the Jays and Orioles both won 89 games, then both went on a run of losing seasons. The Blue Jays rebounded quicker as the Orioles went in to a 5 year tailspin as opposed to the Jays 3 year tailspin. The Cavaet is the last two years of the Orioles tailspin were during Pandemic seasons with limited fans.

Now the Orioles have reached first place.

Playoff games won - Bo/Vlad Jays and Elias Orioles tied with 0

Days in first (second half) - Bo/Vlad Jays 0, Elias Orioles 1

Congratulations again to the Orioles for reaching first place (after May 1st) something the Bo/Vlad Jays have never done.

That's not the point. The point is the young Orioles have reached a stage the Bo/Vlad Jays have not. The Bo/Vlad Jays have never even really been in a division race. 2020 and 2021 the Rays took control early, 2022 the Yankees took control early, and I don't believe there has every been a day where the Bo/Vlad Jays have been within 3 games of first after May 15th.

What are you trying to say? Bo/Vlad are responsible for Berrios and Kikuchi s***ing the bed last year? We lost to the M's in the playoffs last year, how did the O's fare in their playoff run?

What I am saying is this cycle of Blue Jays baseball could very well end without a serious run at a division title or a playoff win.

The Orioles have surpassed the Jays in terms of that accomplishment, they went into a deeper rebuild, but are the first to be in a division title race.

Meanwhile the Os are 3 or 4 years away from even thinking about service time issues, and have a payroll 1/3 of the Jays.

You are right. The Orioles have several prospects lined up for call-ups, while the Blue Jays don't have many top 100 prospects because of our poor development system.

The Orioles are going to get better as time passes when they promote guys like Jackson Holliday, Colton Cowser, Jordan Westburg, etc...

Holy s***

Orioles beat the Dodgers. Rays have lost 4 in a row and now are tied with Baltimore for 1st.

And they play each other this weekend.

Jays only 5.5 behind both

If the Birds bats hadn't of no-showed, we'd have been 4.5 GB, the 8th inning was particularly disappointing.
