Glasnow was removed from his start Friday versus Atlanta due to an apparent injury, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

 

Advice: Glasnow seemed to be having some trouble with his left (glove) hand, as he was rubbing and stretching it as he walked off the field with a trainer at his side. The 29-year-old right-hander had allowed two runs -- one earned -- over 5.2 innings prior to his departure in the top of the sixth. He issued only one walk and struck out eight.

 

You wouldn't think a glove hand issue would knock him out of the game, weird?

Just imagine one of MLB's best relievers at the trade deadline. Except in this case if things work out as well as hoped for Green is going to be a Blue Jay for many years to come. This could eventually turn out to be one of the more impactful additions to this team if Green can return to anywhere close to previous levels of performance.

Nobody is catching the Rays. They banked so many wins they will easily ride out this inevitable rough patch. O’s survived their skid and are back on track. Still catchable but we will have to play .600 + ball.

Orioles have actually been remarkably consistent this year. You really feel with that rotation they should have a s***** 2 or 3 week strech at some point but it hasn't happened yet.

Baltimore is 2 games out and have replaced their 2 worst hitters with a couple of super prospects.

 

What is it anyway with the Baltimore rotation hate? It's silly. Bradish and Wells are (results wise) doing as good as Gausman and Berrios. Kyle Gibson is actually pretty close to Bassitt in fWAR over the last 5 years. Kremer vs Kikuchi are actually kind of close. And if Alex Manoah is really back, there is every possibility Grayson Rodriquez could come back to.

 

People are just in denial of how good an organization this is. We'll see what they do at the trade deadline. My guess is they actually trade some older assets like Satlander or something for under-rated controllable pitching.

 

Also their four great prospects they've called up so far, Rutchman, Henderson, Cowser, and Westburg all have great walk rates, indicating whatever system they have to 'get the boys on base' is translating to the majors.

I do not see the O's moving Santander... They have enough still in the minors or recent call up to not have to rob a key player from their MLB roster.
