Probably should’ve won this game. Really bad luck with RISP again…. Ah well.

Just focus on winning the next series

Got to give our starters some run support. Lethargic bats are going to sink us.

The Orioles series is going to be huge. Bats have to wake up.

Yeah man, I'm still not sure why we let Judge beat us every damn game though. :(

That quest for defense lol. Kiermaier has been the best hitter in the OF on the season....3rd best on the team in the last probably 3-4 weeks. We have so many below replacement players

Springer, Varsho, Merrifield, Kirk, Jansen, Espinal, Biggio all well below average hitters. That is beyond terrible

All series.

Yeah we had tons of deep liners that were well hit but not very dangerous. Just kind of in that zone where the outfielders don't have to make too hard of a play (though Bader did make a few).

He definitely deserves credit but we gave Judge way too many sliders right down the dick. We need to clean that up.

That cheating f*** throated us all series, that's on the skip.

Yeah, just didn't get any key hits with men on, s*** luck.

This isn't Schneiders fault really (as far as I know) but I just can't stand watching that douchebag on my TV screen.

Yeah the Yanks are slimy f***s but he clearly let it get to him. He's beat red and screaming s*** the whole series.

Boone does that crap too but he can get away with it because he has a superstar locked in with laser-like focus. Boone is also just a natural dickwad so it's in his nature to behave like this. Schneider clearly isn't good at it.

Also, Schneider has a bunch of young guys and mental midgets on his team. No idea why Atkins wanted to roll with a rookie manager this year but we're stuck with this knob because I don't think Atkins is going to want to (or can) admit defeat with a second manager.

Feels like we could have won that game with better batted ball luck.

Yeah sucks but that’s how it goes sometimes. 3-4 against the Yanks this year overall which isn’t too bad… hopefully some better results vs the Os

Wow our offense is f***ing terrible lately. We must be the worst team in the league with the bases loaded. Springer needs to be like 7 or 8 in the lineup and Biggio can f*** off already

I've been saying this for years

The offense really needs to step things up soon. They just got shut down in several games in this series by Ryan f***in' Weber and that's embarrassing as hell. They have been wasting a lot of good pitching performances lately.

Besides being friends with Bo and Vlad, what keeps the guy on the team? He is a 28 year old contact hitter who cant make contact.

At no point in his career has Biggio been a contact hitter. His best skill used to be how adept he was at drawing walks, but that has gone out the window this year. Perhaps because they're challenging him in the zone more than ever knowing he can't hit it (zone% higher than career, way more first pitch strikes), or he's making up for it by swinging earlier knowing he doesn't have the batspeed to catch up to anything so it's leading to him whiffing on everything. His plate discipline numbers are worse across the board, less contact than he's ever made by a mile - inside and outside the zone, whiffs, called strikes, everything is significantly worse. He might be cooked for good. He's a glorified defensive replacement/pinch runner but isn't elite at any of those things. At this rate just call Otto Lopez who can back up SS and CF as well as playing 2B, he literally can't be any worse than Biggio.

Haha thanks!

I'll watch Zac Gallen pitch against the Pirates on MLB TV tonight instead! :P

Buccos going to push his s*** in man! Hook a laptop up to your tv and use a stream. :P

Very good summation. Thanks for writing this so the rest of us don’t have to. I have been a Biggio supporter for the most part throughout years past. I thought he could progress to another level and always thought his obp numbers would keep him in good stead. I’m done now with that. There really isn’t any viable reason for him to be on the major league roster. How can we start him in the corner outfield ahead of Lukes?? John Schneider I’m looking at you.

Somewhere Terminator is smiling right now; I may have to start calling him Craig Biggio’s son from now on. :(

It appears as if Biggio still has remaining options so the best course of action would be to send him back to AAA to see if he can get his game in order. I agree Lopez would be a better option for the roster, it's just too bad he's off to a slow start himself in AAA.

Biggio certainly needs to go down, to at least get some regular AB's and see if he can rekindle his approach. I'm all for Otto Lopez coming up, plus these guys need a shake up.

Yeah of course, DFA'ing or releasing him would be silly asset management since it's not like we have anyone that needs to be added to the 40-man at the moment. But he's been costing us wins at the MLB level, he really needs some work in the minors, and if he can't get make some drastic changes then he might be done at the MLB level at least on this team.
