The Jays saw what happened in Game 2 of the WC series, knew they likely only had a three year window remaining, and decided to extend Schneider anyway. Whether it's him, the org's analytics, or both, they deserve whatever they get from this point on.

I mean he has Don Mattingly there too... like this must have been a group discussion & execution to get Kirk in there for KK, losing defense (that we apparently went out of our way to get this offseason) and speed (if it got to 11th).

He's far from elite but hes been mostly fine in the role. The Jays need more back end options though absolutely. If you can upgrade on Romano you do it.

Alright yeah tough choice on the throw.

 

Man that entire Canstellanos AB was frustrating as hell. Vladdy missing the popup, Romano continuously throwing the slider even though it was clear Castellanos wan ON it. And then getting a grounder but the defensive positioning wasn’t great. Ugh
